18 Sept 2026We stayed in a lodge which was clean and fully equipped. There was even a washing machine, although I would have preferred a dishwasher (but that is a personal choice). Staff was friendly and meals very good. I would recommend a lodge for a longer stay and a room in the stately manor for a few nights.

14 Sept 2026The lodge we booked was in a very peacful setting. Well maintained, spacious interior and well equipped. We had an enjoyable 5 night stay with a good breakfast purchased for the first morning of our stay. Car was parked close to the Lodge, very convenient. We would like to book again.

7 Sept 2026Staff were incredibly helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The whole place is clean but a bit tired- I think they are due to refresh the property soon. Didn't get a chance to use the spa as it closed early at 7 pm. Breakfast was buffet style which was ok though the earl grey tea was a bit weak and tasteless!

26 Aug 2026The room was clean with everything we needed. The beds were two twin mattress put together which kept separating leaving a gap to fall through which was very annoying and uncomfortable.
Breakfast was good, lots of choices.
Pool and spa was nice, sauna was out of order though but everything very clean.
Overall it was really nice for the price and I would go back, just would make sure it’s a full double bed!

4 Jun 2026The self catering cabins are wonderful. It was the most spacious cabin we have ever stayed in. We loved watching the bats from the decking. All the staff we meet were friendly and helpful. The pool was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again.

23 Jul 2026If a a beautiful Manor House that has kept a lot of its old feathers. The staff are polite and nice. Our room was a classic room that had a very small window and not much of a view. There were fans in the room in case of heatwaves. Swimming pool and changing room slightly run down but pleasant.

11 Sept 2026We stayed in the deluxe villa 508. The villa looked clean, however we found some marks in the curtains.
On arrival, they gave us the spa key of another room. A couple of days after that I was unable to enter the spa because the key was deactivated. They told me they were looking for that key and asked me how I got it. I explained it was given to us on arrival but it didn't give me a good impression and also felt embarrassed.
The Villa itself is not well sign posted which cause us a headache to find it on our arrival.
Overall, the place is quite and peaceful. The lay out is good. We tried the restaurant and, even having a small menu, the food was very nice.

Spa was great but not very clear as to when you could have any treatments and which days they were open.

23 Apr 2026Loved this hotel. We stayed in one of the self catering lodges which was great. Lodge was spacious and had everythigg no we needed travelling with young children. We used the hotel swimming pool and explored the grounds.
Great location, easy to park and charge EV and in an excellent location for what we wanted.
Staff helped with any query we had. The only thing I’d love to see was a few more condements in the lodge, what would be available if we stayed in the hotel.

We dined in the restaurant which was great and used the swimming pool. Everything was super clean and every member of staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.. highly recommend!!

7 Jun 2026We are family of four with 2 kids and we booked the big deluxe cottage with double bedroom.
To be honest it was our best experience in uk ever.
Property is very well maintained and this cottage had kitchen as well, so well equipped that you can cook anything in there, giant living room and bedrooms also very spacious.
Property is done very tastefully with wooden floorings etc.
We travelled from Leicester and it was our first time in Cornwall and it was worthy.
There are trails and green area within hotels property which are bonus to explore especially if you have kids.
Properties main building is a piece of art from a different time.
Swimming pool, steam etc is top spec and well looked after.
Overall I would recommend this property any day.

The cottage was huge and extremely well-equipped, making it a perfect stay for families. The surroundings were absolutely stunning, providing a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The spa requires advance booking, and guests can stay for only one hour, but it was a great experience nonetheless. Everything was absolutely perfect during our stay!
