Great stay in Ambleside - would definitely recommend and will be staying again. Misplaced the room key and the staff responded almost instantly through the WhatsApp contact and replaced within minutes - couldn’t fault them! The breakfast was basic but what we expected, toast to set us up the day. Only recommendation for our room, 15, would be some drain unblocker for the shower! Everything had been thought of, especially for the hot weather with multiple fans and a small aircon unit!

Strange set up. Pretty much no staff involved at any point, suggests you have to check in by a certain time but check in is via key box so no person actually needed. Room was on the small side but comfortable and shower was powerful but very odd shape. All signage is to old hotel name - Fisherbeck, which confuses for finding it. Breakfast very basic, wouldn’t count it towards value of booking.

Our room was very good, clean and comfortable, with a nice bathroom. As advertised, it was room only with no other on site services. The reception desk was virtual, so interaction with staff was minimal. To describe the down stairs area as a kitchen and lounge area was overstated to say the least. A fridge and two microwave’s do not make a kitchen. To be fair, aside from the bedrooms, the place appears to be a work in progress, and may improve with time. On site parking was available and we had no trouble getting a space and if full there is a public car park next door. If all you want is a comfortable room with parking, this place does the job, very adequately. There are plenty of places nearby for a good quality breakfast and great dining in the evening. We would definitely stay there again.

This was a good two night stay in Ambleside. Located just outside the town centre it is an easy walk for meals and indeed not a bad base for a walk. The room was very good - bed was very comfortable. Not too sure about the Mountain View from our room but not an issue. The rest of the building is somewhat eclectic but this didn’t detract from a good stay.

Enjoyable stay

We stayed Monday to Friday. Situated a 10 minute walk from Ambleside so dramatically reduced the need to use the car. On site parking which was convenient. Self check-in was simple and smooth. Our room was so spacious, very clean, comfortable and very stylish, loved our separate lounge area! The onsite breakfast in the Casa restaurant was "ok" although fair to say there was lots of selection. Overall a pleasant, comfortable stay.

There are no reception staff - but very clear instructions regarding access to the property are sent to you before arrival and further information is provided in the room. Short break

We had a lovely short break at Ambleside Suites and Rooms The Fisherbeck. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a lovely big bathroom and all we needed during our stay. The only negative was no reception which we were aware of before we arrived. We had no issues so didn't need to speak to anyone during our stay but still missed the personal touch of a welcome etc.

We were kept well informed on the details around our trip and the booking in and parking wrre very straightforward. Location is great, 3 min walk into town. Bed is very uncomfortable for our liking, far too soft, no support. Advertised as having NETFLIX etc, but yiu cant access this. Would us again, but only for a 1 night stop over.
