Hotel VARA
"Hotel VARA is a really nicely renovated hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful and accommodated our very late check-in with no problem. We also ate dinner there, and the food was pretty nice for hotel food. They also provided a bottle of chilled water, which tasted delicious after coming from London. As other people have mentioned, it's not the most mobility-friendly place to stay. We ended up with a room with a bath only and no shower stand for the shower head. The hotel is also a up a hill, so if you are coming from the station, it's a bit of a climb. However, it's only 10 min into town and about 15 to the station since it's downhill."
County Arms
"Lovely place, just outside of town but walkable"
Mannings Hotel
"Lovely place, fan in room water of time but window opened which was good"
Donnington Guest House
"The property was nice, quite a walk from town, but that’s just how it is in Truro. My room was on the top floor and I had a lovely view of Truro Cathedral! While my shower was in the room, the toilet was across the hall. Not a big deal except there was a room right next to mine and I felt like I was disturbing them with early morning trip to the toilet and noisy doors. What I didn’t like was that all the outlets were at floor level, so the cord from the kettle couldn’t reach from the little table.I had to put it on the chair to brew. Also, very noisy plumbing. Overall, a nice stay. It was certainly worth the price!"
The Rosevine
"This is an excellent and good value hotel just a short distance from Porthcurnick Beach and a 15 minute walk from Portscatho. In a quiet location and set within lovely gardens that include several children’s games. We eat in 1 night which was well prepared and stayed in a 2 bed studio which was spacious and benefited from 2 bathrooms. The staff were great from beginning to end. We would definitely return . 1 small issue was very quickly resolved"
The Lugger Hotel
"An amazing hotel with amazing staff, nothing was any trouble and the location and hotel was 5 star. Food was amazing both dinner and breakfast was extremely high quality and together with the attentive staff made the stay."
Townhouse Rooms
"Perfect place to stay. Just book it!"
The Alverton
"Excellent"
The Idle Rocks
"Just returned from a three night stay, everything was as great as it could be, helpful friendly people, nothing was too much trouble. Our only criticism is their sister hotel could do with some staff training, service was as good as being at fawlty towers. However idle rocks was perfect !!"
