Piccolino Hyde Park Hotel
Good location but some issues with hotel
Great location 5 mins from Paddington The hotel was fine and the room we had for 3 was good However first of all it was very hot and The ground floor room window opened onto the street and could not be left open at night so it was sweltering even with a fab The tv also was not working when we checked in The manager looked and said this could not be fixed until the following day By this time we had unpacked and we’re going out It was World Cup football day and we had a child with us hence wanting tv We were offered a basement room ! Not really a fair swap and we had unpacked I asked for some money back but was told we were given a better room !! Yes better room no tv !! Floor was also not 100% clean Plus sides the decor ok and the breakfast ok Aso some nice and convenient restaurants and pubs close and 5 mins to Hyde park

A friendly, welcoming place to stay in Paddington.
This was a late booking and so we arrived to apologies as we could only have a very small room on the fifth floor on the first night. However the staff were very helpful and promised that we could have a bigger room on a lower floor the following night. They even moved in our bags for us whilst we were out exploring for the day! The rooms are relatively small but comfortable and clean. Communal stairways could have done with a hoover but there were a lot of them and not easily accessible to clean. The staff were all very helpful, polite and friendly and the choice for breakfast was good, nothing was too much bother.

great little get away
Great little hotel very welcoming, it was bitterly cold but they had put a extra heater in the room and it was lovely and warm. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice and staff very helpful.

Given room on basement level which was terribly noisy from 6 am due to activity above and the side. None of us could sleep through it. The only exit is up a set of stairs as there are bars on the room window. However, a fire door at the bottom of the stairs leading to a kitchen with washing machine and drier was propped open. This is a serious safety issue (and probably contravenes regulations) as any fire in the kitchen would spread and block the only escape route. I removed the door wedge but the staff found another an propped open the door again. I would not recommend this hotel at all and will never stay here again, it was just not safe for me and my family.

This hotel was absolutely gross!!!! The minute we walked in we were assaulted with a horrible odour. The stairs leading up to the room were vile and the carpet was so filthy. Thank goodness the room was hardwood floors. After 2 nights I had to find another hotel as the smell was awful...bedsheets stained....was just awful. I can’t believe a reputable site like would even offer this property. Our clothes had such a stench in them that we needed to wash them 2x through the machine . If it was possible this hotel would be a zero stars...only reason I give it 1 star is because of location.
