Rooms are lovely and great views of Petit Piton. However service was awful, so so slow. Be prepared to wait almost an hour at lunch for 2 salads when the restaurant isn’t even full. Hotel also rips you off on trips - they put a 140% mark up on climbing the pitons vs sourcing the guide yourself (the taxi ride there is 15 minutes and breakfast is included in room rate so no excuses for it).

We had an amazing stay at Rabot hotel. The thingscthat made it special were the staff, the food, the infinity pool and the chocolate making experience

A fiftieth birthday treat for my wife, the whole experience was beyond doubt the most wonderful few days that we have spent together for many years. The room (Luxury Lodge) was fantastic, the food always excellent, the pool and the grounds were luxuriant, and the staff absolutely delightful. "No problem" was the answer to every little request, and promptly carried out. Whilst I had let on ahead of our trip the reason for our stay, I did not expect the time and effort expended by the staff to make the birthday meal such an occasion to remember, with the private dining table specially set out by the pool, the attentive service, the flower petals liberally scattered over the table and surrounding area, and the exquisite meal topped off with a very chocolately and rum cake to finish. Issues? I did not book for long enough (could we have stayed for a year???) and I should have bought a belt with a couple of extra holes in to match my expanding waistline!!! Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and many, many thanks to all of the members of staff who made our little break so memorable.

The restaurant, menu and food in general was excellent. We ate there most evenings and were still enjoying it at the end of the week. There was a good variety of food types for meat, fish and vegetable lovers (incl. vegans). The portions were well sized and everything we tried was well cooked. Note that the wine menu was a bit over-priced but as everything on it was imported this isn't surprising. The rooms were pleasant, a good size and well maintained. The showers were nice (overhead/rainfall type) and water flow was good. The plumbing was also good. The rooms could have benefited from a small table and normal upright chairs in place of one of the pairs of loungers IMHO. The pool is not really for swimming being a bit small. It's really only for cooling off in but the pool area is otherwise pleasant and had various beverages/snacks. These were nice but the fruit types were sometimes covered in ants by lunch if "somebody" forgot to put a water basin under the bowls. There were also various books, free towels etc.. Outside the hotel there are some nice walks up round the mountains and coast. The one real inconvenience is the beach/shuttle. Whilst the beaches are nice, both over-charge non-residents for access to sun-loungers Anse-chastenet was cheaper than Sugar beach but the food wasn't as good and was overpriced (e.g. $20 small wrap). Beer was reasonable. The dive shop was good; the front desk staff were a bit blunt but the instructors were pleasant and competent.

Unique experience being able to stay on a chocolate plantation with jungle sounds all around you. We found accommodation in luxury lodges to be amazing although some people may not like lack of aircon.
