Was really looking forward to staying here as it looked fantastic, but....
For a 5* hotel, found the food & drink provided very substandard. Badly labelled food and a small serving area, mainly served by unsmiling, uninterested staff.
Nice room & view, although mattress and pillows seemed uncomfortable & cheap. Also, no pillow protectors which I hate..very unhygienic. Duvet in wardrobe had no covers also. No English TV which was disappointing.
Odd design with toilet only separated by glass door from bedroom with gaps top and bottom.
Bar staff seemed quite disinterested in serving guests (they generally just chatted to each other ignoring everybody) and almost none seemed to speak English (except the very likeable receptionist who checked us in).
Hotel pool was too cold to swim and the indoor pool was inexplicably shut. The gym was dismal, lacking any kind of maintenance to the machines...eg. 3 running machines, all not working. Most the machines were faulty or unmaintained.
WiFi outside was woeful...0.3Mbs which is almost unusuable.
No WiFi on beach. Strange policy of only allowing ice cream for 1/2hr per day so always missed out. Why have that? Is ice cream so expensive?
On checkout, forced to return to room to take back pool towels to spa to get cards to return to reception. Very pretty and lucky my cab wasn't waiting to go.
Good place down the street for bargain shopping.
