There were many things to like about this hotel, like the location, beautiful Grand Canal view, big bathroom (we had a deluxe king room). The room had a good neutral smell. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Everything felt clean. The shower was one of the best showers I've had in a while. The concierge was extremely helpful and was quick to recommend restaurants and help us line up transportation to the airport and also to Murano. The breakfast was tasty and there were a lot of options on the buffet.
We didn't love the decor of the room (red painted floors and half of the walls)--BUT, it was clean, and decor is aesthetic, so maybe other people love it. The only actual problem was the the air conditioning--it was not very cool at night. It would run until about 3am and then stop, every single night. We woke up sweaty at that time nightly. Not sleeping well on vacation is frustrating, so that is why we gave the 4 star rating, and not a 5 star rating.
