Centrally located in the old town. Two stops from the main train station. 30 second walk from St. Denis Church and within walking distance of all seven “collegiate churches of Liège.” Also within walking distance of the Escaliers de Burenne, lots of shopping, the opera, and the Palais Provincial (now a court house). When we were visiting, there was a wonderful Christmas market as well. The area around the hotel, and throughout the center city was being heavily renovated, but we were not disturbed by it during our stay in the hotel. Breakfast is good. Continental. Staff is very friendly and helpful. At least two of them spoke French, German, Dutch, and English. Only critiques are that our room didn’t have much of a view (we booked the standard room and looked out into a brick wall). Also, the shower in our room was glass and open to the rest of the hotel room. I know that is the style in some places, and my spouse and I were traveling together, so it was not a big deal, yet, perhaps it is worthy of note for those who might be traveling with folks whom they would prefer not to see naked.
