A really good experience.
The hostel is super conveniently located right across a metro station and just one stop to Universal Studio Park. Everything is perfect, but I wish the website would mention that there are stairs leading up from the entrance to the check in area and then to the rooms, which is a little inconvenient for those with suitcases. The employees are super friendly and would assist with carrying up the suitcases though.

Everything was 10 out of 10 except for the Staff, just 2 out of 4 were nice and smiley, the others were not rude but just plain fine, nothing extra welcoming or anything client’s service regarding Other than that, beds are super comfortable, restrooms as well and the kitchen is big enough tu keep your stuff and cook! And not to mention the incredible location, just a crossing the street there is a metro station and the main stars boulevard Thanks a lot, I would definitely come back

Perfect Stay / Great Location / Affordable
I had an amazing stay at Samesun Hollywood! For those looking forward to an affordable, safe and well located place, this is the place! Staff was helpful and very friendly. Although it's a hostel, it's very organized and with rules that manage to work very well. Place was really safe, not loud or messy at all. The room I stayed (4-bunk beds) was also very organized. Bed sheets were clean, floor was clean and privacy was guaranteed with curtains on each bed. There's also a curtain at the bedroom to change clothes if you want. Bathroom was also very clean. Toilets have paper protection on the seats and showers were always available whenever I needed (felt even surprised to see they offered shampoo and body wash). Just missed an hairdryer there. It would be a plus! Common areas were also great. Kitchen was fully equipped; and they offered a small continental breakfast for the early birds, which was great. Large fridge for you to stock your food and drinks - very organized. Location is top - right at Hollywood Boulevard, across Dolby Theater and the Highlands subway station. You can go pretty much everywhere from there. Notice: they don't have elevators (stairs to come up and go with your luggage, but I didn't see a problem on that). I would definitely stay again at Samesun Hollywood and probably at another Samesun property in US or Canada if I have the chance. My only suggestion: it would be nice to have more events and ways to interact with other guests at the hostel.

It’s affordable and a very convenient spot to explore LA since the metro is right across got nothing negative staff was nice and place is clean I would recommend this place for everyone looking for a place to stay for vacation.

When I arrived to check in, the clerk informed me that the hostel was only for travelers; I saw zero mention of this fact at all when making the reservation. Fortunately he let me stay, as I was picking up a rental car in the morning.

This hostel is in the best location of Hollywood boulevard, you walk right or left and you have all main attractions and pick up locations for tours. Front Desk guys are not that friendly as you are expecting, they are managing their own business and sometimes you feel they are compromise to answer a question for you. Heater in the common area was very high and then you come outside and it was cold, not very cold, they should level it to keep a warm environment. Bathrooms were very clean, they keep cleaning them very often and beds are acceptable for 1-3 nights stay.
