The Station is a mere 3-4 minute walk from the Mannheim Hauptbahnhof, so it is conveniently. I opted for a slightly bigger room this time and was not disappointed as it had the "Hairspray" theme (yes, the John Waters movie). Since I was on the back, it was super-quiet and rather spacious. My only complaint was no fridge, but then again, Mannheim was so cold that the water and wine bottles on the window ledge stayed perfectly cold. Nice wine bar and good selection of local wines. I will definitely stay there again.

The Station is just a few hundred meters from the Mannheim Hbf yet is located on a side street and thus the location is nice and quiet. Rooms are small, quirkily decorated, but (importantly!) quite comfy. Include the breakfast in your reservation as it is VERY filling. I did not need to eat lunch! I will DEFINITELY stay there again if I am in Mannheim.

No internet for 2 days and shaky stools and half broken mirrors - this place is a joke. The facilities are worse than a hostel and the price this hotel commands is not justifiable. - This property is located right across Mannheim Central Station and the bus station -long distance-, is next to it. - The room offers all the basics: TV, AC, WIFI, Toiletries - The room looks dark even when you open the curtains - Has not even a chair or tool - It could be nice to have a small fridge - The reception work limited hours, only - Has elevator and not-smoking rooms - Lots of public transportation within the city - Several restaurants and a small super market

Very friendly staff... but the room I had was very small (no room to open the luggage w/o having to jump over it to get to the bed side) and extremely dark. And if you wanted light in the room in the morning you had to open the black out curtains inviting the whole neighborhood to look into your room. No A/C either and too loud outside to leave the windows open during the night.
