Our room had been updated and was great. The hotel itself is older but they have done a good job maintaining the property. The staff was friendly and the food and service was great. We would stay here again.

Fabulous location with stunning views and deep history. Motel like with an on site museum which is a must, Limited options for food in off season besides sit down restaurant which was fine, standard fare. Beds, bedding and pillows weren’t great but again you are paying to stay in a beautiful place not to expect Westin style bedding. Balcony with view of MV was a fun bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful. Minutes to MV entrance. Would stay again if visiting Monument Valley.

wonderful stay
from check in to check out, the girls at reception were friendly and efficient. i had dreamed of staying for the views of monument valley. we arrived at dusk and left after dawn and our room had stunning views of the monuments. we had a balcony for viewing. the room had a pod coffee maker, fridge, great amenities in the bathroom. everything was super clean. we ate in the restaurant which was very reasonable and delicious. a warning: split whatever you order, the portions are huge. also if you enjoy a drink or two, this is a huge indian reservation, so no alcoholic drinks are allowed. prepare beforehand. lovely place and area. mystical

Best place in Monument Valley
I've been here a few times and will always come back when I visit Monument Valley. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and a good size. The view from the rooms cannot be beat, and there's a balcony or patio to sit on to take them in. Staff is excellent, professional, and friendly. Everything you might need is within walking distance; the restaurant, gift shop, museum, grocery store, laundromat, and there's a gas station. Gouldings cannot be beat for my money and time!!

It was very comfortable and close to where you want to be in the Valley! We enjoyed the privacy of the individual villa home, everything you need is provided, traveling in family you can cook and prepare your own meal! When you look out the window you will see the beautiful silhouette of the mountains! Beautiful!

A good place to stay in the Navajo Nation
It was very good. The room was very clean. View of the monuments were awesome from the room. Location is on a big monumental butte itself. Onsite restaurant, food and service is fairly good. We didn’t use the pool however it has indoor pool that is open till 11 pm. Plenty of parking. Only thing, bathroom was going foggy quickly, however we opened the window in the bathroom that cleared the fogginess on the mirror due to warm shower water.

Fabulous View
The Lodge is wonderful. It is located in a very special place! Waking up and seeing Monument Valley from the sliding glass door is breathtaking. The rooms are clean & beds are comfortable. It’s somewhat of a historic site so it isn’t a modern hotel… you actually wouldn’t want one here. Meals at the restaurant and good, better than expected. We will definitely go back
