Royal Plaza Hotel

Royal Plaza Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"Spacious room. Clean. Easy to find your way and helpful staff. For the price you are paying you are getting the space, comfort, close to mall and train transit. Perfect for the fact that it's on top of a mall and MRT station. This MRT station isn't one of the major artery but it can be easily transferred to another line at another stop. Mall doesn't open until 10-11am but breakfast is open at 7am (MW) located just outside of hotel connected to the mall with good decent meal so no need to join their breakfast plan. Should u wish to walk outside the streets, that's a bit out of the way. You'll have to walk over the bridge to get down to the local area in MK or u can take the bus a few stops down. There's a bus station right by the entrance of the mall but the timing is off if you're checking Google maps so ask the drivers. "

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in New Territories

  1. Book for the cheapest times: If you're looking for an affordable getaway, the New Territories is particularly budget-friendly in February, May, and June, when hotel prices are lower. For a great value for money experience, it is advisable to stay for at least 2 days to fully appreciate the region's key landmarks, historical sites, cultural attractions, and stunning natural scenery. This allows ample time to explore the rich heritage and beautiful landscapes that the New Territories has to offer, all while keeping your expenses in check.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals in the New Territories, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you don’t miss potential savings. With Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window, available through the app, you could compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. This way, if prices drop or rooms become available, you’re more likely to be the first to know and secure a last-minute escape.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay in a hotel in the New Territories. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and often offer better value. When you make a booking with Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we may suggest more affordable dates to increase your chances of securing the best deal.
  4. Consider your location: Staying in the heart of major cities in the New Territories can undoubtedly provide convenience and easy access to local attractions, but this prime location often comes with a steeper price tag. In contrast, smaller towns and rural areas are more likely to offer more affordable accommodation options. For those seeking better rates, considering hotels just outside the city centre may be a wise choice, although it may involve some extra travel to reach key sights. Additionally, exploring nearby towns or cities may reveal a wealth of attractions while allowing you to stick to a more budget-friendly itinerary.
