People that worked there was very nice and intensive But the room wasn’t worth the price I paid Food was nice
Clair, 1-night trip

The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is spectacular. I realise the building is old but the bedroom and stairs are in need of decorating. We had a great couple of days, live music on the Sunday, the band was really good. Cup final was on, never heard any if it from the room. We would stay again when in the area.

The pavlova alone is worth the trip

Comfortable room with excellent tea making supplies - and a good sized mug each! The floor fan was useful as it was very warm. The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure.

Don’t let the the outside fool you. Inside the rooms are very well done and spotless. Breakfast was tasty, well cooked and hot. Coffee was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the allow dogs.

No restaurant service on the evenings Sat & Sun. May be on the website but just didnt expected of a 'Hotel'.

Hotel fine for short stay, not much else to do in the area.
Andy, 1-night trip

On the floor we was on there was a hell of stairs not suitable for anyone that I and it is right by the set of traffic lights where you have the crossing going all the time also traffic noise which was very noisy and because it’s a listed building. I cannot have double glazing, would I go there again possibly not because of the flight stairs and also the traffic noise?

Stayed here after running the Suffolk Coast Path 50k. What an amazing place, lovely staff, clean rooms, and we sat in an area called the snug - had excellent food service and my wife said the steak was the best she’d ever had.

A Very Pleasant Stay

Have stayed at this property numerous times when visiting friends in Leiston. Our room was very clean. Plenty of hot beverages and biscuits. Toiletries supplied. Staff really helpful. Breakfast available if required. You can't always park on site but plenty of parking a short walk away. Would definitely recommend

8/10 Very good

Room was clean and fully equipped for a quick morning coffee which is helpful. Staff was nice and check in and out were very smooth. The only problem is that room isolation is not very good so we could hear noises from the outside and inside the property late at night. Would recommend irrespective of it.
Carolina, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Pleasant friendly staff. Excellent breakfast with a good choice on the menu. The room and en-suite bathroom were clean and the towels were of good quality. Comfortable bed. Leiston is a town with a lot of through traffic so traffic noise noticeable.
Kenneth, 1-night trip

Room was superb, and fully matched what we were looking for
Peter, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Enjoyed my stay at the Whitehorse hotel. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It would’ve been nice to have a mirror in my room, otherwise the room was satisfactory. I do think it would be good if the price of a breakfast was included in the overall price rather than having to pay separately.I also think that overall it is a little bit on the expensive side, but I understand they have to make a living!
Claire, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

There is quite simply nothing not to like about this property. We had a wonderful weekend here. The room was spacious, and spotlessly clean, and the bed super comfy. The breakfast was a real stand-out. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. It was our first visit to the area - don't know why we left it so long!
Jane, 2-night trip

Comfortable stay

We stayed in room 3 while our friends were in room 5, and the difference was remarkable. Our room was modern and didn't match the photo we saw online, as we were 'upgraded' due to a band playing in the pub below. The bathroom was incredibly small, only accommodating one person at a time. Definitely not worth £100 a night.

It was very expensive for what it was and breakfast wasn't included but it was friendly

Nice little hotel

Lovely family run hotel. Made to feel very welcome.
Astero, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This is a lovely big building down stairs bar and restaurant areas are nicely decorated but the rooms need some TLC
Karen, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Our twin room was small but clean and well arranged, although a chair would have been useful. We were served a generously portioned Sunday roast, well cooked, a great meal.
Van, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Over priced and dated

Service and breakfast was great. Room was poor. In places the walls had been repaired but not painted. There was a hole behind the door which had not been repaired. The bathroom smelt and the bath was marked. Having paid £120 for the room, we felt we had been massively over charged. We understand the rooms are being refurbished which is needed and would perhaps reflect the rate we paid.
