Great clean place!
This is a convenient stop when heading to Fl Quick off on highway 24. Nearby gas station and Wendy’s across the street. They gave me some water , bagel and apple to go early because we had to leave before breakfast. Will definitely return!

The gentleman that checked us in was rude and did not tell me the room number just handed me the key with the number on it. He told me nothing about how to access the wifi and nothing about when breakfast was. I also had to ask where the elevator was to even get up to our room. The room and hotel smelt like moldy cleaning products.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!
I am a former PROMUS employee and have stayed with our then brands (Embassy Suites and Hampton Inn) for 30+ years. This hotel was "ok" and definitely not the "standard" from back in the day... which is a bit disturbing considering how things have progressed over time. I also understand that the chain is now Hilton brand and some franchised so a LOT has changed; but excellence should never not be a standard.

The shower entry was a little tight being right next to the toilet and the shower head being on same side as the only door that opens to walk in - so you are splashing water onto the floor before you can even get in the shower to get door closed behind you and that presents a slip hazard as I almost fell slipping on the water we did not know was on the floor after my husband had gotten out and I was getting in. The shower head was mounted high as well so I was too short to aim the showerhead a different angle before getting in to prevent that issue. Bathroom also needed more lighting - the only light was above the sink so when in the shower lighting was very dim. Other than a minor design flaw in the bathroom, and the tv signal bouncing in and out (there was not any bad weather at the time so unsure why signal was bad) it was a lovely place!

Super odd experience. There was a family reunion happening in the lobby with a full on buffet. The lobby was packed and it was hard to hear or walk through during check in. The gentleman Vicky working the desk was not very hospitable. We arrived after a long drive ready to check in and approached him while he was working on some papers. He asked us to wait a moment and proceeded to work on the paperwork before checking us in, it was super awkward and unnecessary. He was soft spoken making it impossible to hear anything he was saying while the family rager was taking place. After our check in we had booked a second room for some family through Expedia and they were arriving a little later. During their check in Vicky told them that they had not paid for the room yet, which was wrong, and caused unneeded stress and confusion. He finally figured out whatever needed to be done and was able to get them checked in. The lobby smelled like the buffet food all the way up the elevator to the 4th floor. One of the desks in the second room we booked (2 queens) was dangerously wobbly and looked like it was about to fall over. The hotel is dated and the couches in the lobby have like duct tape patches on them. I would recommend avoiding here and booking at the Holiday Inn Express literally across the street those rooms are nice and the staff are super friendly.
