Excellent hotel with very welcoming and helpful staff. Extra bonus was the EV charging point in the car park. High quality food and varied menu, including vegan options. Only minor issue was the cooked breakfast was only served from 7:30am, which affected my early start, but otherwise very good. Great location, easy to find and in a lovely setting with gardens and outdoor tables. Highly recommended.

Modern and comfortable with lots of parking

Stayed in the courtyard rooms which are good, the chairs are not the greatest and not overly comfortable but ok. Other than better fitting black out blinds as they let in a lot of light especially when the sun shines on them the room was good, good size, clean, with USB charging points. Would stay again for sure.

A truly lovely stay from start to finish. Checked in with ease. We had a long drive and arrived later but reception staff were patient and professional. The building was clean, tidy and welcoming and our room delightful. Everything seemed fresh and spotless. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Again Staff were professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel and hope, one weekend soon, will return. Thank you so much.

A great stopover to visit friends.....

Easy to find with lots of free parking. A warm welcome in a stylish reception. A spotlessly clean, spacious and nicely decorated room. A comfortable night's sleep. A powerful shower with complimentary toiletries. Again a warm welcome at breakfast. The dining room is bright and modern and a lovely place to eat. We were told to help ourselves at the continental style buffet and given a hot menu with lots of choices to order. Service was fast and we were really happy with our food choices. It was a good breakfast to set us up for the day. A lovely place, great value for money, we would recommend to others and definitely stay here again ourselves. Well done to all who work there including those behind the scenes.

Upon booking I ticked the option to pay at the hotel. Upon arrival I was surprised to be advised the room and that of 4 other guests had all been paid for 2 days before our arrival from my account. Totalling over £1000. Which had resulted in me having to request reimbursement from the other guests. The whole point of paying at venue was to avoid this 😟.

A thoroughly enjoyable short stay

The hotel was very easy to find and only a short distance from Bishop Auckland town centre, which we visited on the Saturday morning, using a local bus as the stop was just near the hotel. We were warmly greeted on arrival, which was our experience throughout our stay. Excellent staff, very helpful and polite. We stayed in a room just off from the the entrance near the court yard. The room was quite spacious with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night and the food was well presented, hot and very tasty. A very comfortable restaurant and bar, though some separate seating in the bar area might not go amiss. Breakfasts were also excellent with good choices and well presented food. The car park has ample space and a couple of charging points. All in all a great 2 night stay and would definitely recommend There is plenty of car pa

Great hotel

Overall really happy with our experience staying here. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spacious and clean and the showers were nice. Dinner was delicious too. The only thing that was a let-down was the breakfast, which was disorganised and overpriced. The juices on offer were strangely tasteless, there weren't any pastries despite being advertised, and we were brought, more than once, a regular full English breakfast instead of the vegan version. This didn't outweigh the positives of the experience, but I would avoid the breakfast if I stayed again
