Great location

Great location, easy to find, right in middle of town, short walk from train station, lots of stairs to climb. Comfortable room but strong smell from bathroom and noisy all night with birds on the roof.

Great location if you want easy access to bars and restaurants, but that is also why it is not a good location if you like quiet. Room was functional with a comfortable bed, decent shower, and space to get organized.

Our one night in lovely Inverness

A hotel where you let yourself in via keypad with zero human interaction (for good or bad.) The room was small and poorly furnished. The tiny bedside tables could have been much larger as there was room. The sink was almost unusable as a glass shelf blocked access. But the bed was very comfortable. Location was excellent within easy walk of shops and restaurants.

Excellent location, walkable to everything! Bathroom was a bit small for 2 people to share but it worked out okay for the 1 night we were there. If it offered a mini fridge we might consider returning for a longer stay.

Clean, cozy, cute, and just across the street from what have to be the best doughnuts anywhere!

Location great for closeness to rail station, and restaurants and walking along the river Ness. But also loud at night (we were there on a Friday night). Access to a kitchen and fridge was great. Very clean. Our plumbing worked but made noises at night. Towel heater did not seem to work.

Excellent property! Good communication about how to get into the property and everything was clean and nice. The location was also very ideal from both the train station as well as the bus station!

Orkney stop over.

We stayed two nights July 3 and July 7 at the Jacobite House as part of our tour of Orkney. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. It was close to the railway station and the pick-up point for Rabbies Tours, and other parts of the town. It was a bit difficult getting to the 3rd floor with our suit cases but the rooms were clean and comfortable. We did have a bit of difficulty in getting the passkey information due to our email connection but everything worked out well. All in all a great experience and highly recommended for other travelers but not those with mobility problems. Thank you.
Alan, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

There was garbage in the room when we checked in The bed was one and of the worst I have ever attempted to sleep in The street noise came right up into the room until the bars closed The common area stunk due to the piles being of laundry There was no shampoo etc in the room Learned my expensive lesson
Grant, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent set-up for budget-conscious traveler. Location is in the heart of the city, convenient to shopping and transportation. Easy to explore city from there. Only suggestion is to make arrival instructions a little clearer, since there is no registration desk. Instructions say, "the lockboxes that have your room Key is to your right on the fire exit door." The lock boxes are actually on an inside wall, behind the fire door. The door appears locked and has a sign that says keep closed. It took me several frustrating minutes to figure out that I had to open the door to get to the lock boxes.
Chandlee, 4-night trip

8/10 Very good

You can't beat the location and the room was clean and the staff responded quickly to inquiries (there are no on-site staff). My one issue is that the room was much smaller than I expected. The photos for rooms some times show a mix of elements from other rooms. Also, while we were on the back side of the building and there was no street noise... the room-to-room noise can be a bit much if you have people coming and going. But that's why I travel with ear plugs.
Jack, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Bit of a mixed bag. If youre coming to Inverness for a night out (stag party etc) and youll have a few drinks, this would be a really convenient place to lay your head. Unfortunately, we just wanted a good nights sleep after 10 hrs of driving and the street noise made it impossible. The bars were really noisy until 1am and then the dustbin truck came at 6am. The matress is also very much in need of replacing as its completely sunken in where youre supposed to lay. Good aspects are the shower was great, easy self check-in and very central location but only managed about 4 hrs sleep.
Mellani, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

No parking, but was able to find a public ramp within a quarter mile walking distance. Safe area for 2 women to walk alone from the ramp to the apartment at 10pm. Just as pictured, quiet (after the customers next door checked out. Lots of door slamming at 1am and 4am. Better after they left), very clean. Can't figure out the sink though - literally postcard sized sink. Not sure how you are supposed to wash your face or brush teeth without getting water everywhere. Smaller than the sink in my small camper! But did not detract from the overall room. Great place to stay.

Leg Day Workout

I only took off a star because this room was on the very top of 3 flights of a narrow winding staircase. I think that if my neice wasn't with me, it would have been WAY harder to get up to our room. It was pretty confusing to get to where we needed to go, as the instructions weren't super clear to get the key. The room stated that we were to have a king sized bed, but it was actually a queen. The room was clean. There was a hot water heater and a fan, which was really nice. The bathroom was small, but OK. The rooms on each floor have a shared full kitchen that you can use. It was helpful to have a full fridge and something to reheat food. The place was hard to find. However, the location was great if you wanted to be near shops and pubs. Very very walkable.

10/10 Exceptional

This is a highland gem right in the centre of Inverness. It was 2 minutes from the rail station, 6 or 7 from the bus station and has a Wetherspoons just down the street. We had room 2 which was a 1st floor flat with a dining area and a kitchen/lounge area. These were shared with the occupant of room 1.There was a large fridge/freezer, electric cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster and cutlery and plates etc. Everything you need to self cater if so inclined. We were and it saved us a fortune. Not very far away was an Iceland and just over the river was a Tesco. We spent 6 days there using it as a base to tour the North of Scotland by rail. Parking may be an issue if travelling by car though. Our only issue was the lack of instructions for the cooker and the multi facilities the microwave oven boasted. Grill, oven, microwave or a combination of several was puzzling. The flat has only just been made available so instructions for the gadgets haven't yet been sorted out but I am sure they soon will be. We were very happy with the accommodation which allowed us to come and go as we pleased without wondering where breakfast or dinner was coming from

Welcome stay but cold in the afternoons

Room exactly as described with everything you need for a short stay. The shower was excellent and there was plenty of hot water. The kitchen was really good - I used the microwave, fridge, and freezer. The kettle in the bedroom had to be used on the floor as the lead did not stretch from the top of the chest of draws to the socket. Milk was provided, which was really appreciated on arrival. I was away from the room for external meetings and also had Teams meetings in the room. The small table and chairs supported this. I had to use my telephone wifi as site wifi was not fast enough to support my Teams meeting during my visit. The heating was externally controlled, and appeared to be timed to start warming up around 0700hrs in the morning and again in the evening, so the room got really quite cold during the day. I was shivering during one of my late afternoon meetings, despite being wrapped up with the duvet on my legs. The radiators all have local thermostatic valves, so you can elect to have the room warmer or colder (as long as the heating is on). The towel rail in the bathroom was on for a longer duration and did a good job of drying towels. The mirror remained steamed up for 30 minutes after a shower. Overall a good stay, just a bit too cold in winter to have Teams meetings inside.

Although our room wasn't overly big it was definitely well equipped (hairdryer, kettle etc), very comfortable and clean, as was the communal space with kitchen and living area. Absolutely fantastic location, ideal for visiting pubs with lots of traditional music being played. Will definitely be booking again!
