A gem!
A great value hotel. Great location just off the A1 aprox 4 miles into Durham. Excellent rooms decorated beautifully, spotlessly clean. Great to have air con & a plug socket either side of the bed. Staff friendly and helpful

One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at. Staff were lovely and room was clean. 24 hour mcdonalds next door for food late at night. Whsmiths next door aswell for drinks and sandwiches and stuff 10/10 for everything would definitely recommend for people.

Amazing for money. Shops close by and an outlet. Food was amazing. Shame the staff don’t go above and beyond to help open the door when they see you struggling with a kid and bags ( this happened on more than once) apart from that 5/5!!!

Room was very clean and comfortable, staff were super friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
I was able to charge my car overnight with a full charge for £15.00.
There was an initial issue finding our booking so we had to wait a little while to check in. There is custom firmware on the TV so if you want to stream from any apps bring a fire stick or something similar.
Really rate this hotel will definitely stay here again.

Definitely home away from home when next in town!
Having moved from another local hotel after an unpleasant experience, I was very pleased with this property. Modern, clean and spacious. The staff were all INCREDIBLE! Everyone that I encountered was lovely to deal with and went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy. The only reason that I awarded 4 and not 5 stars is because the condensation in the windows was draining onto the floor, wetting the carpet and resulting in a musty smell in the room. Maintenance acted quickly though and moved us to a different room where it wasn’t as prominent. Issue seems to be properly wide so will need some remediation.

Total discrimination.
Arrived at the hotel after driving from Scotland prior to booking asked for two rooms on the ground floor as we are both registered disabled. We were informed by the receptionist on duty that both rooms were on the first floor. After further questioning the receptionist on duty and made that she did not read the notes and no one from super eight will take responsibility for this would not recommend.
The booking was made through Hotels.Com. I did receive an email from Expedia but multi booking was made through Hotels.Com. I have more telephone contact details prior to arrival but no one phoned to inform me of the situation. The booking was made weeks in advance and then said that you booked a compact room and if you wanted a room on the ground floor this was extra. This is total discrimination for disabled people with limited mobility, especially a lady of 92. We then drove from the hotel on the A1M all the way back to Eastleigh a grand total of 305 miles.

I asked for help to figure out the air con and then all was good. It was a stressful journey, but the staff couldnt have done more to help me have as relaxing an experience as possible. All very good at their jobs and very friendly, nothing was too much bother. I've often stayed in 5 star hotels in my working life, but now I am retired, finding a reasonably priced hotel which provides high quality customer service was a delight. I had my dog at Wear Referrals for surgery and cancer treatment, its an ideal spot to spend the time waiting for them to be ready to come home. Bed was as good as Premier Inn, lovely shower room, just all round a great choice. Security was reassuring as access to the corridors was by key card only, so no one could come in who wasnt a resident. My only slight gripe was the noise closing doors made with other guests, but thats a very small gripe.

Easy to check in, staff were welcoming, friendly and super-helpful; resetting the air conditioning to heat the room and recommending closest parking in Durham centre for the restuarant I was going to. Room was clean and comfortable.
Everything I needed for an overnight stay at a very reasonable price.

Room was in good condition, water pressure was fine. Car park was large and next to a service station, a Costa and a McDonalds. The hotel was part of services for the A1(M) road, so it was quick and easy to continue our journey in the morning. It was a short drive into Durham for sight-seeing.

Had a very comfortable stay. Beds really comfy. Staff really good especially Fiona she was very helpful. One little thing shower was too cold and also could do with recycling bins . It was lovely and clean . Have stayed before and would definitely stay again. Durham a lovely city.
