Superb, Excellent.

This is a fantastic hotel which me and my wife would thoroughly recommend. Owner Jill could not have been more helpful, with a room upgrade. Cooked Breakfast was hot, and the fruit selection first class. You would find some of the other hotels more expensive and offer you a lot less. This hotel was first class all the way.

stayed there a few times now. we try not to stay anywhere else if we can help it. the breakfast is amazing staff are great and it's extremely clean. little touches as well such as biscuits in the tea and coffee tray. had a sea view at no extra cost. can't beat it.

The Helaina

We had a perfect one night stay at The Helaina, it went so fast though and we were sorry to leave the following morning. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean with nice modern decoration. Very nice comfortable bed. The sea view was amazing. Breakfast was delicious, everything cooked to perfection. We would love to stay here again one day soon. Thank you Lucky for making us feel so welcome, and for the great service 👍😊

A hotter more powerful shower would have been better (maybe user incompetence) but i'll still rate as a 5* as well the cleanliness, for me the plus was the b&b operate a hassle free leave you alone to enjoy your stay attitude, but the staff were quickly there when you needed them to be. Neil.

Excellent hotel. Our room was compact but everything was just perfect. Luxury bedding and towels, shampoo provided. Plenty of Tea and coffee and especially milk pots. Good Breakfast choice. We had the full English. It was excellent. Parking on the street but easily found a space then on checkin the member of staff gave us a 24hr permit with no charge. Honesty fridge in the lounge, choice of refreshments. Would highly recommend.

Great view..our room was too small.

This is a nice place for sure. Well appointed and great views. You can have breakfast added on which was just okay. Our big dislike is the size of the room...very small. We were in #3. The sea view was great. When booking I thought king bed meant a bigger room, given the cost. The bed barely fit in the room. The room was frustratingly small. There are a couple of bigger rooms, but at a higher price point. Staff were great. I would not book there again.

Beautiful room with a lovely view over the sea. Spacious room,modern bathroom. Very nice and welcoming staff. Easy parking on the street outside the hotel for an extra fee. A nice restaurant across the road, a 10 min walk to other restaurants and pubs through a bit wornout and quiet streets (i wouldn't feel completely safe walking there alone at night). Most shops and restaurants are in the opposite end of the town, best to reach by car or taxi (not a problem during daytime to walk if you like a good walk). Will definently recommend this hotel if you're bringing a car, and you don't want to be surrounded by restaurants, cafes and nightclubs.

We did have the smallest room in The hotel but were aware of this on booking, it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with all you would require for a short weekend stay and excellent value for money at a peak time.

We had a lovely room on the top floor. This is up 6 small flights of stairs so not for those with mobility issues or heavy cases! The Helainia is convenient for the cricket ground and serves a nice breakfast. Our only quibble was having one small bar of soap for both hand washing and use in the shower during our stay (we were told toiletries were not replenished). It was a bit of a struggle to make it last three days. It would have been nice to have separate bars or soap and shower gel in the room.
