Romantic week in Chai Mai and around
Our 4th stay at this lovely smaller Hotel which I consider my 2 nd home in Thailand. It’s all about the very serviceminded staff everywhere, the good breakfast and the quite area at night times. We highly recommend it.

What a wonderful experience we had at De Chai Colonial Hotel. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The breakfast was quite good. They helped arrange an elephant sanctuary tour that was unforgettable. Rooms were comfortable and clean, well appointed. Would definitely recommend staying there!

The hotel is on a quiet street. Within 10 min walk to the Tha Phea old city and nearby night markets. We had a grand deluxe room which was big and clean. Breakfast was decent. Great value for money for a 4-star hotel in a good location.

I've stayed in many hotels (in over 60 plus countries) and de chai colonial is defintely in my top 3. The staff are super helpful and always happy to accommodate my requests. The rooms are clean, the location is convenient and I cannot say enough about the staff- they're lovely and happy to call anywhere for me. I highly recommend this place.

Good check in, bedroom condition was brilliant, cleanliness was excellent throughout the hotel. Service was just ok, and they didn’t do anything outstanding. Breakfast was underwhelming and fairly limited choice but what they did have was good.

This would be my #1 choice anytime I visit Chiang Mae, the location could not be more perfect. On a quiet side street but just a few minutes walk to be in the heart of everything. You are just minutes walk to the city gate and the main road is gorgeous lit up at night and just teaming with vendors at night when they close it to vehicle traffic. If you do a tour they usually charge extra if you are not inside the old city walls but on all our tours they gave us the free hotel pickup because we were so convenient right where we were. The rooms were so peaceful, the staff just incredible, the location could not have been more perfect and there is a 7-11 handy right at the top of the block. The bedding was perfect, plenty of room, we hated to leave, will definitely be our first choice every time.

Great stay
The De Chai was the perfect place to start our honeymoon. We arrived late due to our plane being a little delayed but the driver from the hotel waited patiently and was very kind.
Check in was super fast and easy.
Every staff member was kind and helpful. We really felt welcome.
Our room was beautiful and clean. The shower and tub were a dream. The bed was really comfortable. We would definitely want to stay here again.

Convenient comfort in Chiang Mai
Lovely hotel and Excellent, quiet location that is still easy walking distance to all the sights. Staff are super friendly and the breakfast has enough variety in case you are staying beyond a few days. The pool is in the bar area, so excellent in case you’d like to enjoy a drink during your swim. I enjoyed a massage at the hotel spa, great service and from a cost perspective also convenient. In case you want to use the gym, their sister hotel around the Corner has one. The rooms are roomy, w both bathrub and shower, and generally a good size. Overall, would stay here again.

Extremely nice staff. They found out it was my birthday and when i returned to my room, there was an individual chocolate cake on my desk with a card. I found that very thoughtful of them and appreciated it very much. The hotel is beautiful with well-appointed , comfortable accommodation. The restaurant and breakfast options are somehow limited , but there's enough to eat, and servers were always very accommodating and polite. I would definetly stay there again eventhough i never received any of the VIP perks I should have according to my travel app.
