Montreax has been a highlight for us during our trip to Switzerland. And part of it has been our stay in this hotel. I know I’m spelling this wrong but the gentleman whose name is pronounced Chubby was so kind and helpful. We loved our room and all staff members were very kind.

We have NEVER written a bad review about a property. Here it goes. MOLD in all areas of the bathroom. No Air Conditioning. TV did not originally work. Broken lamp. Grit on the floor. Please do not book this hotel EVER. A great location for the Jazz Fest, but that it it! PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY if you have another choice.

The lake view is wonderful. The hotel location is nice, close to train station and easy to find. However, the room have a humidity smell and the toilet have strong smell which doesn’t comfortable.

very central hotel and very close to the jazz fest and all the activities however because it is so central and so close there seems little incentive to offer a nice breakfast in the morning or to paint the rooms and corridors which look a little old and tired. it could do with a spruce up

Area was great. Walkable and great view if you chose a lakeview room. Hotel is a little difficult to spot unless you're actively looking for it because it has a restaurant right at the front. Convenient for food though which is nice.
However, the receptionist was never at her desk and was very impatient whenever she had to be called down. Our room keys and door codes stopped working for no reason and we needed to wait until the next day to get new keys. Room didn't feel dirty per day but didn't feel clean overall. Wouldn't choose to stay there again if given a choice.

We stayed in this property for one night. The hotel was located just across from Lake Geneva promenade, which was wonderful. The promenade was alive with food, retail goods stalls, and music on the Sunday that we checked in. When we arrived at the hotel, front door was hard to open and I thought it was locked and thankfully a guest came in and we were able to get in, but no one was at the front desk, that’s why we couldn’t get in. We had to ring the bell for service. After checking in we dropped our bags and went to the promenade. When we settled back in the hotel room, I noticed discoloration on the ceiling and the wood flooring flank edges were raised and chipping, a sign of water damaged. The more I looked at the ceiling it turned out it was a terrible job of patching with a plaster putty. It looked like it was trying to fix a water leak. We were ok with it if it has been fixed. At 7 am, my husband and I heard light tapping that we thought may be a bird or a water dripping from the outside since we opened the window overnight, lo and behold, it was water dripping from the patched area on the ceiling. Thankfully our opened luggage was a few inches from the drippings and nothing got wet, and since we were checking out, we didn’t make a big deal about it. We told the front desk about it when we checked out an she was shocked. Hotel management should fix this by replacing the pipe, wall, and flooring before renting out. Very disappointed to end our stay with this.
