Really enjoyed my stay the room had a nice out look and warm cosy and clean the shower is brilliant and had tea and coffee that really makes a nice stay lots to do in that area And cinema is fantastic i had a lovely time

Extremely happy with this hotel. It exceeded my expectations, with the room being of a good standard, the breakfast and evening meal being a decent size and produce. No issues during my stay (long weekend) and the staff were friendly and professional. I would stay here again.

Happy traveller.
Hotel was comfortable and room very spacious. The food was good. Parts of the hotel are a little worn but had some nice period features. No alcohol in bar but allowed to take your own. Very central to holiday entertainment and activities. Would stay again.

Was a lovely stay, staff were friendly and helpful and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of choice for breakfast and good value 3 course meal in the evening with good choices. My only negative would be the hotel is a little tired and the rooms could do with refreshing and updating.

First room they sent us to hadn’t been made up and stunk. No service throughout 4 night stay. No bar. No restaurant. Lift needs attention. No accessibility. Decor old and tatty. This was our second stay and gone downhill. Won’t be staying again. Expensive for facilities you got. Plus side, our one encounter with staff was pleasant and helpful.

There was a lot of stains in the room on carpets and ceiling , could hear floor boards creaking from above floor quite loudly in the night. Staff were polite.

Upgraded to a sea view room. Modern looking bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Iron and ironing board in wardrobe. Corridors old and tired but the room certainly made up for it.

We only had a problem checking in 30 minutes late and 50 minutes for my daughter. Apart from that was lovely never had a problem before

Lovely overnight stay
We had a lovely stay at the Carlton. It was well worth the money we spent, cheap and cheerful but clean and accommodating. Breakfast was average but again for what we paid there was more than plenty and good value. The room was beyond what I expected. Very large and spacious, modern and comfortable. Yes there were a few marks here and there but it’s a working hotel so you can kind of expect that. Other areas of the hotel was dated, corridors etc. but our room and reception area were lovely. I’d definitely recommend and return.

Very friendly check-in. Hotel very dated and although clean there were many stains both on wall and carpet. Curtain hanging off rail. Hot water to sink but only luke warm to shower/bath which was disappointing as couldn't use the facility. I would have told reception on checking out, but there was no one there.

Absolutely disgusted with this hotel my wife has Covid & we sent proof of the results & they refused to refund us our money, certainly wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone customer service is nonexistent

Terribly dirty carpets, chairs, spider webs all around the room. Wobbly bed, no proper fans available for room in such hot weather. Very dated and dirty overall.
