It was my first time in Amsterdam! I was willing to spend a little more to get a good location, and this place did not disappoint. It’s just a few meters away from the Weesperplein stations, so you can easily access the Metro (eg. M51) to get to Centraal Station (to get to the airport via NS train), and the GVB tram (eg. 1, 7, 19) to get to the popular tourist destinations, such as the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum. If you don’t feel like taking public transport, there’s plenty of restaurants and tourist destinations within walking distance (usually 30 minutes). Don’t forget that the Dutch like to plan everything, so make sure you make reservations for all the places that you really want to go to. At the hotel, the technology and the sweet employees are very Millennial/GenZ. I checked in pretty late so I ordered the seafood dish from the kitchen, and it was so, so good. The room itself is pretty standard, but I’m not trying to spend all day in my room anyways. All in all, I had a good time, and I would do it again.
