Good stay at the Tire Station, Amsterdam.
I had a great time staying at the Tire Station. Room was fabulous ..... and SO quiet at night. Fell asleep really quickly. Also, coming home in the early hours one morning, and the foyer cafe was open (24/7 seemingly), so I got a flat white and a big piece of apple pie to take to my room. Fab! Super hotel. Just a short tram ride away from central station. Definitely stay again.

Super modern and clean but no fridge
One of the best budget hotels within touching distance of the city centre. When I say touching distance, I hired a bike to get me past Vondelpark and close enough to the action, locked up the bike, then enjoyed the canals and museums etc. If you were to walk in every day it might be a stretch. Room was clean, everything was modern, I only have two small complaints: 1. I made a special request for a quiet room and they put me next to a young family of four. 2. There's no fridge. A fridge would have been the icing on the cake, other than that it was a really nice hotel with very welcoming staff and a nice cafe on the ground floor where you can grab a quick snack before heading out.

Nice for young people, not for seniors
Hotel is 20 min. away from Dam Plaza and 30 min. away from Centraal Station. Nice area but you waste a lot of time when traveling every day. The A/C was working the first 2 days then it was not so they provided a fan but that 3rd night was too hot... so we were moved to another room (very small compared to the first room) and well, it was just for 1 extra night. If you are backpacker, go ahead, if you are a senior, avoid this location.

Great place, close to Schiphol and many trams, walking distance from voldelpark and supermarket and restaurants close by. Great option to stay in Amsterdam. About the breakfast is the standard, bread, cereals, ham, cheese and some fruits
