We have stayed at the St James before and the standard is still very good, in spite of the renovation works, which are nicely disguised.
That said, even for a London Hotel, £10 for a cup of coffee is a bit steep.

As soon as you arrive the staff can not do any more for you! They are so friendly, professional and polite.
Our room was ready on arrival (1.30pm)
We checked in and was shown to our room.
We upgraded to a courtyard suite which was so amazing!
Clean, bright and spacious for the 3 of us. (1 Child)
We walked in and found a cake which was a very nice touch.
We will return and this is our favorite hotel in london.
