Avoid unless you like wasting your money
Don't believe the stated experience, what is advertised is not what is on offer when you arrive at the hotel. We ordered a king room which turned out to have no fridge as specified and didn't have the coffee station Nespresso which is usually standard in Doubletree. The glassware was dirty, the bathroom taps were not secure to the wall and clearly needed looked at. The tiles were unfinished and there was a general run down feel about the bathroom. We had to request shower gel as there was none in the room but also had to wait until 8am the next day as reception were unable to get in touch with the housekeeping team due to system faults. So no hot shower in the evening, usually fine but when the hotel states there are toiletries you take that into account when packing. Also one of the windows in the room was broken and didn't close. This was all irritating but after checking with reception that we were in the right room as it clearly seemed unlike what was advertised they were no help. We stayed the full trip, the bed was comfy and that was about it. Don't waste your time or money. Go somewhere else.

Love it
The staff go out of their way to make the stay better. It is clean, quiet and easily accessible. Plus it has a connected good restaurant and bar. I also enjoy the little ferry ride across to it from Canary Wharf.

Good, but could be better considering price.
Good value for money for London location - but room was not particularly outstanding. Breakfast was fantastic and all the staff were lovely. However, obvious segregation between the value rooms and up market rooms. Service charge of £5 at dinner is a bit much considering standard of food, and already inflated prices. The security of the rooms quite poor really, windows unstable and balcony door open when I first came into the room. Noise was quite a problem too as I could hear neighbours running their water and switching off their lights, which led to a disturbed sleep. There was also a car pulled up playing music outside my window which was very annoying but not purely the fault of the hotel, although it is private property. Would not consider a 4 star hotel and value rooms no better than premier inn or travel lodge. Am sure the up market rooms are lovely.

Disappointed
Arrived at hotel to find room was not equipped for the 5 people booked in. I had to speak to staff at reception 3 times regards a pull out bed for the room. I spoke to the assistant manager who implied it was due to our late arrival and booking! Booking was correct and arrival late due to closure of M25 so could not be helped. Was very put out that they implied this in the first place. It took 1 1/2 hours before a bed was brought to the room. The room itself had a pair of shoes left under the chair which would imply that it was not cleaned particularly well. The views from the room were beautiful and it is in a great location. Breakfast was fantastic, a range of food to suit all.
