Learn more about Key West
Hemingway's ghost still haunts the bars where he once drank, while cockerels strut through streets with more confidence than tourists. At Mallory Square, sunset becomes theatre as fire-jugglers and troubadours compete for attention. The Southernmost Point buoy draws selfie-seekers, though locals know the actual southernmost spot lies elsewhere. Tour the author's six-toed-cat-filled home before cooling off with key lime pie that sparks debates about meringue versus whipped cream. Snorkel at Fort Zachary Taylor, then wander Duval Street where T-shirt shops give way to sophisticated galleries. The Truman Little White House reveals presidential history, while the nightly parade of characters proves that in Key West, being normal is the only real sin.

The Laureate Key West
"I enjoyed my stay at The Laureate Key West. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, and the staff I interacted with during the stay were friendly and helpful. My only concern came after checkout. I received conflicting messages suggesting that my reservation extended beyond my actual checkout date, and I was also sent a message addressed to another guest. This made me worry that the reservations had been mixed up and that I might be charged for additional nights. The issue appears to have been a communication or system error, but it caused unnecessary stress after an otherwise very enjoyable stay. Overall, I would still recommend the property, but the post-checkout communication and reservation records should be handled more carefully."

- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates could help you find a more economical option for your stay in a Key West hotel. If you’re in search of distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and may offer better value. Should the price be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that may help you find a more favourable deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be pricier; however, thanks to Key West's superb public transport links, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located slightly further out that remains well connected. For those interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more genuine and budget-friendly experience.
