Very good 8.0
Nice check in staff, large room for London, big bed, air con didn’t work and was boiling all night, turned to max cold and was even hotter air, had to open windows so noisy at night and didn’t sleep well. These things happen, still a nice hotel for the money

Generally satisfied but disappointing aspects
Requested a room change as 1st was extremely small (part of apartment complex) & bore no resemblance to photos on websites or room brochure. We were moved to a better room. Control of room temperature was also an issue. The hotel was however clean and well presented and the front desk staff were helpful & pleasant. The breakfast was satisfactory but on our return from the theatre the hotel bar was closed so we had to walk to a local pub to get food & drink. In general for 1 night it was fine but it is a shame there were aspects of our stay that were disappointing.

Hotel and room were good. Continental breakfast had a good range of items but service could have been better and no jug of milk was provided with the hot drinks so you either had to use the individual plastic sachets or pour fresh milk from the buffet table into a glass.

Lovely place, a real find
We loved it. I’m not an especially frequent visitor to London, but if the 4 or 5 hotels I’ve visited in the last decade, this was the best. You’re greeted by a lovely facade, an equally lovely lobby and especially friendly and helpful staff. Our room was very nice - a large comfy bed, plenty of storage room for our things, a clean spacious bathroom (with a lovely big deep bath). It was a little warm at night but staff helpfully supplied us with a fan. Our room came with a complimentary continental breakfast, a lovely choice of cereals, toasts, fruits, youghurts and pies (yes, pies for breakfast, they were really nice as well). The area is very nice and it was quiet all weekend, there were plenty of other guests there but you couldn’t sense it from your room. It’s a 10-20 minute walk to the museums and Albert Hall, and 10 minutes by tube to the centre. This is now my go to hotel for all future London trips
