Hotel Lillie is a very basic hotel , but you get what you pay for . It was clean and served a purpose. It is ideally located for transport to the theatres etc . Been twice because it’s so cheap .

While the buildings staff was kind and helpful, the rooms themselves were dirty and a lot of small details made the stay overall unpleasant. For example, there was only one functional outlet, the window curtains were falling off, the windows did not fully open, the sink leaked, some lights were out, and there was a layer of dust on every surface. This hotel was in a very convenient location and we never felt unsafe, however we would not stay again.

The room was fine, beds clean and amenities you'd expect. The only issue was the bathroom was filthy. I spilt some water on the floor and used my white towel to lightly wipe it. It came up black!! My friend had a shower (also pretty dirty with dark mould spots at the top of the tiles) and she said her feet were dirtier after the shower from the bathroom floor than when they went in.

Cleanliness is a big issue, the rooms were absolutely filthy, corridors and stairwells were just as dirty. In the rooms there were marks all over the walls and doors, pipes and radiators dirty and dusty, beading was missing in places and in others it looked chewed. Staff seemed very uninterested literally was just asked name and given a key and told room number no welcome. On checking out was just told to put my key in a box. There is parking onsite although we didn’t use so cannot comment. The pictures they are advertising may have looked like that once but is now very misleading I would avoid this hotel at all costs. The only positive I can give is the location is good however after visiting I would sooner travel further or pay more to stay at others on the same street then stay here ever again.

Went for a 3 night stay and went cheap as we were out of the room pretty much all day only sleeping and changing there. We had to have our room changed 3 times as there was mold on the ceiling of the bathroom in the first room and all kinds of things on the walls in the second room. 3rd room was a bit cleaner but still not great. Staff were kind but on the 3rd night the power went out and we were told that we wouldn’t have power for the rest of the night so we couldn’t charge any of our stuff like phones and other things. I would only stay here if you are going to be out of the hotel a lot. it is located in a lovely area in London, that is one of the positives I liked about this place, only a 2-3 minute walk to the nearest tube station that takes you right into central London.

Window handles were broken, bathroom door broken, panels around the corridors were broken, cleaner launched a bundle of dirty bed linen down the stairs which almost took us with it. Reception not the most helpful. However, convenient location. Bars and restaurants within metres. Empress Museum (which we were visiting) is a stones throw away. Parking great - big spaces. Beds were surprisingly comfy.

I liked that it was 5 minutes walking from the underground. I also liked the kindness of the people working at the hotel. But I had to ask to clean the room twice, it was full of dust everywhere, and in the bathtub there was some hair. Two days before our departure the fire alarm went on at six o clock in the morning and we all got very scared. They said it was a false alarm.

The window in our room was broken which meant it was very noisy as it wouldn’t shut properly, the sink leaked, the tap wouldn’t stop running and the toilet seat was broken. We had a knife instead of a spoon with the tea making facilities. We had a room next to the lift which meant the noise was excessive from the lift door when it closed. They did replenish toilet rolls and towels and give us extra tea bags when asked. The bed was comfy. The price was good too and location for tube was excellent.
