Good hotel but service requires to be slicker
The hotel was in a really good location and the staff generally were very helpful. We had a few issues however which included waiting for a room past the check in time. We went for a walk for 2 Hours and at 3pm on our return the room was still not ready. We eventually got access to our suite at 4:30pm having arrive at 1pm. We were asked to wait in the coffee area and someone would let us know when the room was ready - that didn't happen our daughter had to remind the reception staff who then confirmed the room was available. We also made repeated requests ice to be brought to the room - 4 calls over 2 days and eventually the ice arrived - bit disappointing. Communication between departments or personnel therefore appeared to be a problem. Evening bar was good and staff were excellent as were the staff in the restaurant which we used for dinner one evening. Suite was nice and overall it was a nice hotel but the service needs to be a bit slicker.

Great stay at Pulitzer Amsterdam
Our stay at the Pulitzer Amsterdam was excellent. It is in a great area and the Hotel itself is lovely. Excellent service and beautiful gardens. 5 star.

Pulitzer Amsterdam
Pretentious, definitely overrated and certainly overpriced. Staff were very nice but the place just isn't worth the money. Being 25 converted townhouse may sound cool to some, but this hotel has no wow factor isn't for me. Rooms are small and dull.

Good place to stay in central Amsterdam.
The hotel was very good, friendly and in great area of central Amsterdam. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and breakfast choices good. Only thing that wasn’t up to standard was the service in the cafe was very haphazard and one or two of the waitresses in the cafe section seemed not to know very much. For example I asked about the soft drinks of a particular brand on the menu and she said she would have to go and ask someone!
