Lovely, clean and comfortable
A one night stopoff to break up a long journey but we had an extremely comfortable stay and enjoyed using the lovely spa facilities. Friendly welcome on arrival, the room was comfortable and clean and the spa was beautifully kept and pristine. Amazing value for money, we’ll stay again.

Modern and comfortable hotel close to town centre.
Lovely spacious room with a big comfy bed. Good facilities like an ironing board, coffee station and hair dryer. The spa was lovely and modern. Sauna, steam room, hot tub and pool all clean and relaxing. Comfortable bar with a good selection of wines and cocktails. Would definitely stay again.

Spa in the city
I would definitely recommend this hotel. We visited Stonehenge and wanted to also see Winchester cathedral, which was a 10min walk away. Parking was plentiful, yet £7.20 a night. Cheaper than most hotel car parks these days. Great service from all the staff. Check in, spa, the bar and housekeeping. Room was clean, modern and the bed very comfortable. The spa was just what you needed to relax after a day sight seeing. Great amenities and would stay again.

Top Class
Love The Winchester Hotel and Spa. Can’t wait to return. The Spa facilities are amazing, breakfast up there with the best but the most appropriated was the quality of the staff, so welcoming, courteous and professional. All this and a short walk into town centre. Thank you all!! ❤️

Amazing Hotel !
We have just got back from an incredible stay at the Winchester Spa Hotel. From the moment we stepped through the entrance till the time we checked out. The reception staff were polite and helpful, the foyer was beautiful decorated. Our room was close to the spa which was an excellent location. We stayed 1 night to go to the Christmas market, wished we’d have had 2 nights though. The town is a 10 min walk with lots of nice bars and restaurants. We had brunch at Kavi Coffee which I can highly recommend and also a drink at the Cabinet Rooms again excellent. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, the food was amazing and well presented. Lovely staff. We enjoyed the spa which was fairly quiet considering it was a busy Christmas weekend, so able to use the jacuzzi, sauna and pool, and the beautiful relaxation room. Which had drinks and fruit provided. I can honestly say the whole weekend was amazing. Parking is provided at a cost. A lovely surprise was a voucher towards a drink per room. Not sure how long the offer would be on for though. I can highly recommend the hotel and Winchester itself for a weekend break.

A short stay
We visited the bar for a coffee on a quiet Thursday afternoon. I waited 1/2 hour for two coffees, and one was unpalatable. We didn’t risk it a second time during our stay. The restaurant was ok. Food was nice. Throughout the hotel it seemed to be staffed with very young members of staff. From reception, bar, restaurant and house keeping staff. They seemed to lack experience or the knowledge of how to be personable. I’d say slightly robotic and reading from a script. The room was described as a Classic Double room. This felt like a storage room. Bigger than a cupboard though. House keeping were by far the friendliest. There wasn’t a window. Just a roof light. So you only knew if it was night or day. Raining or not. This meant unfortunately you needed lights on during the day. A waste of energy perhaps. It was ok though. Two of the lights didn’t work. If you wanted fresh air at all, that wasn’t going be possible. We did wonder if there had been a fire and you were unable to leave through the corridor, your only option would be to stay and wait for rescue through the room door. We know how that can work out! Next year when we come back for the fantastic Christmas Market. We would stay here again. But only after we’ve looked at all the other options first. Last note. Cleanliness. Generally it looked and gave you a feeling of being ok. Some of the corners of the ceilings which had quite well established cobwebs forming and the odd mirror with finger prints.
