4/10 Fair

First time, never again
When arriving at room no power to the lights or sockets then took a while to find a member of staff. The room was not comfortable at all. The wall affect was stone making it feel cold and wood flooring. Unable to open a window. Thick dust around the awful frame work within the room. TV guide didn’t match the TV programme only good thing was the size of the bathroom and shower.

Ok but not great.
Sickness and other associated symptoms after meal. No communication that you had to request maid to refresh toilet rolls (used for reasons previously covered) tea coffee etc in case accusations of theft against the very competent and friendly staff. No tv as computer glitch froze everything - rectified the next day though. Fabulous breakfast though - worth the 9 quid.

The restaurant has a verry limited range very smal proshon sizes and far from cheap had burger chips lemonade and a tiny and i mean tiny bit of cheese cake with a minscule half scoop of ice cream . Hotel room was very dirty. Bed was clean enough but the shelving and skirtings were thick with dust...months worth at least. The rug under the bed was the same. We found a small yellow pill on the metal bar above the headboard. Informed staff and asked for room to be thoroughly cleaned and pill removed. On arrival back at the room that evening the the room had been half cleaned. Under the bed still filthy and the pill still sitting where it had been left. Asked to speak to a manager who was very pleasant and removed the pill straight away and apologised and offered us drink vouchers for the bar. The skirtings in the corridors were also thick with dust as was the edge of the carpets. Was clear only up the middle of the carpet was being hoovered.

Hotel IBIS
The experience was terrible, on my first night after checking in, the manager activated another individuals keycard to my room and whilst I was undressed and my headscarf off, relaxed in my room, a man walked in. As you can imagine I was very shaken and scared, because I am a Muslim woman and I had no headscarf on. I thought I was safe in my room after checking in but this experience really shook me up. I went down to the reception and informed them of what had happened and was not compensated or anything for this but instead told it was a computer error. I did not understand how this had even happened when I had only checked in an hour or two beforehand. I couldn’t sleep throughout the night or even the next few nights as I kept imagining someone may enter my room again. I was working as a Pharmacist in the area and not sleeping right in the nights I was finding it hard to work. I couldn’t even feel comfortable leaving my suitcase unattended in the room and kept taking pictures of the room. All I know is I will never be using this type of hotel for future bookings. Thank you;
