Possibly the best hotel in Acapulco. The rooms are a bit dated but the service, lobby, resturaunts and pool area more than make up for it. Pay for the breakfast buffet, its worth it.

It was most disappointing to see that management allows smoking within the property only because some of the high management employees smoke also. Asthmatic people are not necessarily evident. Disregard of people with invisible handicaps should not be tolerated at all. This behaviour is most notorious in people of generation Z, 20 to 40 years of age.

Not worth the price.
A/C in the room did not work reported 3 times and they never fix it. Staff is rude and stays rude. The pool is nice. I was given the wrong room at check in, and again the staff is not very helpful. I read the reviews and it has lots of 10's but this place is not higher than a 6.

Nice hotel, but needs renovation
We have been to Hotel Emporio Acapulco a lot of times and it is our favorite hotel i Acapulco. Things to like: - Good room prices - Very good breakfast - A large pool and outdoor area - An own pool area for 18 years + - All rooms have ocean view / sun - The rooms are big and have 2 quite large beds which makes it possible to use one room for a family with 2 adults + 2 childs. Thinks to dislike: - The gym equipment is old and do not work as expected - The door to the hotel room has gaps/openings (we stayed at 8 floor) and all the noice from the main street makes it difficult to sleep. - Every morning at 06:10 AM a loudspeaker with commercial (for buses to Mexico city) was started up in the Main street. This woke us up and we had to use ear plugs to be able to sleep. - Quite much noise from the air condition - The rooms in general needs renovation (mirror, water tap, bath tub, door to bath room, terrace door etc)

Overall we had a great stay! Something’s to keep in mind: 1) Although most locations are open, all of Acapulco is still recovering from hurricane Otis, which means, a lot of construction around the area creating traffic jams throughout the day. 2) Emporio had multiple electrical outages that don’t last long but that means if you’re staying past the 1st floor, prepare to take the flight of stairs to your room and to get back down to the lobby. 3) Hotel room pictures online are pre hurricane Otis - the rooms will not be as clean and must utilities in the room are old: towels, iron, ironing board, old furniture, old appliances, old towels, to name a few. 4) Prepare to have something not working in your room - from AC possibly going in n out or completely broken to remote control needing batteries. 5) Every person checking in must wear a green bracelet and must keep it on throughout the whole stay. The highlight of this hotel is the LOCATION and SERVICE. Although there were multiple cons to the stay the staff is very attentive and will do their best to accommodate all requests. Everyone is kind and patient and greet you with a smile. There are multiple shops and restaurants as well as Sub Acá for all water activities (kayak, paddle boarding..). The hotel also has happy hour Fridays from 9pm-10pm and live music from 9pm-midnight. Hopefully this review was informative to help prepare you for your visit at emporio. Other: Parking $200 mex pesos each night
