Filthy, Nasty hotel.. Days Hotel - never again!
This hotel is filthy - the public areas and rooms are all disgusting. The carpets have a black edge where they have never been cleaned, and are stained, every surface felt sticky, the shower tray and sink were littered with little curly hairs. The side of the bed had a stain that looked and smelt like dry vomit. The receptionist that checked us in was rude. There is nowhere nearby to eat (I wouldn't eat in the hotel!) - the place is located on a roundabout out of town.. Not a lot going for this hotel..

great staff, great hotel
We booked at short notice and the reception staff there were extremely helpful and friendly, offered to help with our luggage and gave us advice on parking. even though we arrived late we were able to get hot drinks and meal from the bar area. We even were offered a takeaway breakfast as we were checking out before breakfast opened in the morning. We had bacon rolls and hash browns ready for us in the morning. We would stay here again without question.

Very good value for money
Exceptionally polite and helpful reception staff. Room was a bit dated, broken lampshade and hairdryer and missing kettle and some mould in the bathroom. But - quiet and comfortable and very good value for money. Would definitely stay again.

3 day stay in Derbyshire
Enjoyable say in Derbyshire. Countryside especially in the Peak district, magnificent. Hotel room clean but time for re-decoration. A little bit of damp in a couple of corners due to condensation from shower. Staff very friendly and helpful and for what we paid for the room was excellent value for the money.

2/10 Poor

Disgusting not 3 star
Based on staying 2 nights Swift serving at reception and an adequate amount of free parking/very good location to virgin active gym as a bonus! Room problems- Soap dispensers didn't work in thr shower or sink...quite important and a basic. Mold on the shower walls? Disgusting Toilet would not flush...despite 3 or 4 attempts....overnight thr toilet would stink due to not being able to flush. No air con..although there was a fan Just 2 pillows, not very Comfortable seeing as the most basic of hotels provide 4 for more then a double. Room service- The real added problem Apparently room service can only be done when your not in the room...although unusual I agreed and left the hotel on return I discovered that the bed sheets had not changed...how did I know? My 8 month old baby dropped a small amount of her baby food on the bed in the morning in a few places before room service. When I returned the bed had been made but with the same sheets as it was clearly visible yo see the same baby food! Think about it....does that mean they changed the bed sheets before I checked into the hotel? Or have those bed sheets been used multiple number of times then just "tidied" again? The lift on the left would consistently bleep whilst your inside and not move despite pressing any button for it to move then after 2mins it would allow you to exit....quite worrying when your with a baby. I'm usually very relaxed in my opinion of hotels I stay. I have taken this further...

Ok.
Room wasn't clean, dusty lights, lamps. Bedding was ok, bathroom was ok, hotel was far to hot for comfort. Window was screwed locked for some unexplainable reason. When questioned at reception was told that it was due to circulation where hot air from outside comes in. Not a plausible excuse in my books.

Bad experience
We ordered a family room that said we would get a double bed and 2 single beds. We got a normal room with 2 cot beds put either side of the beds leaving no room for anything. Cot beds were basically springs covered with material. The bathroom was the dirtiest we experienced in 6 weeks of traveling Europe. Black mould. The man who served us on our arrival was rude and didn't care, but did offer us a smoking room that smelled so bad it was not an option. The only saving grace was the female hotel manager who was sorry and offered us breakfast. Unfortunately we were leaving straight away didn't have time to take up her offer. She explained that the hotel was getting refurbished. My recommendation is to not stay at this hotel until it is refurbished.

Satisfactory stay
We stayed one night. Very reasonably priced. Reception staff very friendly and efficient. Room clean and comfortable. Bar open til late! Breakfast was alright. Near busy main road, lots of sirens, however, would stay again if I needed to go to Morledge.

Typical days inn
Staff are all very lovely but beware of the club on the ground floor...this was extremely noisy on Saturday evening. Sat nav takes you near the hotel but you need to access it from the pentagon roundabout instead. The hotel could do with a little tlc but is perfectly clean and comfortable it does however need its technology dragging into the 21st century, wifi is very intermittent and only 5 channels on the TV!!!

Worst Night Ever - Avoid
I know it was cheap, But cheap doesn't mean it has to be dirty and awful. Room was dirty and hot and not possible to open window as broken. They had put a fan in there but it didn't work. Not happy, but they changed my room to an equally dirty room of squalor, however this time the window was open and I had a nice roaring road outside. Guess you get what you pay for... Oh, and the breakfast was rotten. I had a bit of toast as the bacon was rock hard, The hashbrowns were soggy oil dripping heart attacks and the eggs and mushrooms were swimming in something putrid. Still, I didn't have to pay for that as I left it all...

Convenient and simple comfort
Having been attending a wedding reception nearby we had parked in the hotel car park before checking in. Someone mentioned restricted parking at the venue so I called the hotel to give reg no. They initially had no record of my booking and told me it was a good job I'd called when I did as it was the last family room and wasn't yet made up. They checked me in over the phone, advised me what to do when we arrived and despite a small delay while a suitable room card was found, all was well. We had a reasonable nights sleep but we're disturbed by what sounded like the emptying of bins (at 8am on a Sunday!) on waking my boyfriend went to take a shower to find there was no hot water. With little over half an hour before we needed to check out we called reception. They didn't seem too concerned (a plumber was on his way), though when pushed as we deemed it unacceptable, they provided the three of us with buffet breakfast FOC. The waitress there was brilliant and could not have helped us more! Slightly disappointed but they rallied a little.
