Sad cafe
We were on the top floor and had to climb four flights of stairs that were practically vertical. I would not recommend unless very fit. There were no facilities to make a hot drink in the room and nowhere to hang any clothes. The hotel is near main tram stops. I had to close the window at night because of the noise of people shouting until the early hours. There were posters on the walls of the corridors and musical instruments and lighting in the room to give a feel of being at a concert.

It's a HOSTEL not a HOTEL. Shared bathrooms has
First of all, I got deceiving about the place. Since the place's description is a hotel, I would NEVER expect that it will have the majority of the rooms with bathroom shared. Didn't pay attention to it, since never it is needed when you stay in a hotel. But the place is more like a upgraded HOSTEL. When I realized that it was a real shared bathroom like if it was a hostel or dorms, I tried to cancel it and they didn't even allow me to do it even with weeks ahead, and even knowing that in Amsterdam everything gets fully booked easily. Nonetheless, the "hotel" place should change its name to "Hostel VIP"

Really liked the hotel, however the noise from the bar above our room (we were in a basement room) was so loud. Also the motion sensor on the bathroom light would go off any time anyone outside the room moved, which didn't help with sleep either!

Great hotel, let us check out 1 hour later than we were meant to. Provided towels and shower gel in our private bathroom. Stairs are very narrow and steep so not great after walking all day. Hotel room was warm and they provide a fan in the room however room was very small and there was barely any space to walk around the bed. I wouldn't stay here again, i'd like something more central. Great room for the price - we paid £120 something for 2 nights.

OK, but not great.
I've used budget hotels in Amsterdam dozens of times before and this was not the best. Just little problems. 1. It was slightly more expensive for a room without bathroom than other hotels with bathroom (although all other hotels were booked out, so maybe they'd put up their prices for this weekend). 2. There was nowhere to hang anything in the room. No hooks, no rails, no hangers. 3. Housekeeping were over-zealous. They woke me up every morning with their vacuuming, but then I noticed they did nothing else for 2 or 3 hours. So they could have waited 2 or 3 hours. I said this to reception, but all I got was justification not understanding. So, not the best hotel to try to sleep in. 4. Breakfast is good, but not included. Again, I've been to cheaper hotels in Amsterdam that include breakfast. Overall, I would suggest trying to find a cheaper place first. But this is adequate for a budget option.
