place is beginning to look a bit tired. Iron was broken in the room. Room was booked by me in my daughters name as shared room for 1 night. Staff would not let my wife who arrived first check in until i had changed the booking online. Never even offered her a coffee or tea but expected her to wait for 2.5 hrs to check in it seems. Could be a) more sympathetic and b) helpful to a guest waiting to check in.. Needs to improve

The location is great. The hotel is kept and maintained brilliantly. Sadly, my stay and sleep was ruined by some very loud drilling and banging in the very earlier hours of Saturday morning. When I told the staff about this all they said was that they would look into and walked off. Overall, brilliant hotel. Just a terrible experience which I hope is a one off.
