Very good
Nice hotel, I'd say only just 5*
I'm not sure why it's a 5 star hotel if I'm honest, it's certainly a nice hotel but the room certainly does not feel 5 star and the hotel is quite dated. The staff are very friendly, reception is very nice, but those rooms!

Luxury? Very far from it.
Frayed flag flying from the flagpole, tatty, worn entrance mat, rack of empty coat hangers in reception, fridge with power cable that didn’t reach nearest socket, missing shelf in bathroom, large crack in bathroom sink and a jumble of electrical cables sticking out under the TV. These are not what is expected from an average hotel, but this place purports to be a luxury hotel. At first glance the pool area looked nice. A very slightly closer look showed shower controls that didn’t work and came off in your hand, utter filth under the glass floor of the relaxation area and a squalid mess in the basket for used towels. I could go on. Unfortunately there is not enough room for all the photos. This place is clearly badly managed, maintained and in need of a lot of remedial work. The level of staff competence was also way below that expected from a luxury establishment. Website mentions being directed to “our fully equipped gym”. When we asked this actually meant being told where the nearest public gym facility is with no affiliation to the hotel. I wonder if this could contravene the trades descriptions act? The luxury claim most certainly could. The only positives were that the room was generally clean and the breakfast acceptable. It is certainly a place I would not recommend or ever return to.

Disappointing and staff rude.
We arrived at about 2.45pm 45mins after we could Check in. I booked two rooms and was asked if one room had been checked in already but my friends and I came together, so no it hadn’t. The rooms were not ready and we were asked to sit in the lobby and wait. We decided we would check out the roof top bar so asked for them to ring us when the rooms we available they said that would be fine. We went up to the roof top bar and went in the door to be rudely told it wasn’t open until 3pm. It was 2.55pm. We asked if we could sit and wait they said it wasn’t open until 3pm. Firstly the door should have been locked until they were open and secondly what was the harm in us sitting and waiting nearly 2 Mins. The staff were rude so we didn’t bother staying. Nearly 2hrs 3mins after check in we had a call to say our rooms were ready. I’m glad we hadn’t sat in the lobby to wait. Rooms were clean but furniture dated and didn’t match. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel it isn’t. We decided later on to try again and take our drinks from the downstairs bar to the roof top terrace, we were told once we got up there that you can’t take drinks from downstairs, upstairs as they are only partially connected to the hotel! What Is this all about!! Again we left! Sunday at 9.15am I was rudely awaken by the hoover outside my room for then a cleaners to knock and let herself in! I haven’t checked out. Will never stay here again. Complained to staff they weren’t interested.

Was really disappointed with our stay, we've stayed here many times over the years but found the staff really rude and unhelpful.
