The staff were very friendly, polite & helpful the building is going through renovations by the looks of it we stayed in an older room We stayed when it was very hot the ac sort of worked but not great Everything was OK but not stunning hopefully when the renovations are finished it will be a great hotel We would probably stay there again the location is amazing N a side note don’t use the corner shops around the corner from the hotel prices are very expensive use the garage instead which is just down the road

Only one bedside table, so one of us had nowhere to set a glass of water, or our phone, or our glasses. Also NO plug to charge phone at bedside! Most people use iphone for their alarm; it would be nice to have handy on a bedside table. The updated thermastat was a big round bright light that never turned off all night, despite being worthless for cooling the room. No lamp on the desk, so too dark to use. Multiple extra stairways to get to our room even after the elevator.... big bags to lug and we are in our 60's and 70's. Chose to eat breakfast elsewhere since the daily charge per person was 7 pounds higher than our previous hotels. We liked the location area and had stayed there 2 previous trips, but we will try somewhere else next time.

Pros: wonderful location, AC worked great, room was a good size, staff was very friendly, and the construction noise did not interfere while sleeping. Cons: the room and bathroom were very outdated and smelled of stale cigarettes, the beds were extremely firm, and they did not provide washcloths. Small shampoo and conditioner were provided but no hand soap for the sink.

Despite ongoing renovations, the staff were terrific and tried hard to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Manager Graziana was simply wonderful and so nice. One of her staff set up the new TV for me in my room without a qualm and got me ice, etc, as the restaurant and reception were temporarily closed. I’ve stayed there on multiple occasions but this time I have to say they all went above and beyond for me. I’ll be back!

I had stayed at this hotel a few years ago and added the breakfast option to this trip. When I got to the hotel, I was told that due to the renovation of the hotel (which was stated when I booked) they were not currently offering breakfast. I was told to let Expedia know about this-which I did. Since payment was not completed until I registered, I was given a credit on my card. Also, currently there is no bar in the hotel. Mornings including Sunday were noisy with construction, but as I stated, I was aware of this when I booked. Hotel is clean and close to 3 Tube stations. Many restaurants are close (Queensway) for breakfast. I will definitely stay there again if I am in London.
