Excellent value 4* hotel
Exec summary: This is a good 3.5/4* hotel and provides excellent value. I arrived slightly before checkin time but my room was already ready so I was able to go straight in. The reception desk had a hard time understanding my British accent but the guy seemed nice enough. To access the elevator you need your room keycard which is slightly annoying. I'm not quite sure what this achieves apart from making you fumble around for your keycard in the lift. I had an upgrade to a larger room and free breakfast which was great. The room was good and well equinped with a sofa but one of the arms was broken and it had a stain on which really should of been picked up and cleaned off by housekeeping. The room was unfortunately not facing the river Thames. If I stayed again I would be sure to request this. You get free access to a gym / sauna but I didn't have time to use these so I can't comment how good they are. I had a very late dinner in the hotel bar. I was looking forward to this as it overlooked the Dome but when I arrived at 10pm I was told the main bar area was closed and I had to sit in the back. Food is listed to stop serving at 10:30 so this was disappointing. The food was very good for the money but only had one vegerterian selection on which sucked. The staff were again friendly but perhaps a bit uptight. I got the impression they would prefer to not be serving food so late. Breakfast was so so, with a disappoingly limited selection. But the staff were nice.

Will not be going back.
Booked through for a £1000+ room at special price of £189. This was special b/day treat for son to see his favourite band. Expecting outstanding views from outstanding room. Instead got standard double room at side of building, this was after discussion with reception staff. Stated that room was not at expected and they apologised saying their most expensive room was only £600 per night! After accepting the new room with ‘partial view’, you need to lean against window to see Thames we got cleaned up and had a bite to eat. On return from gig my son opened minibar and asked me to have a look inside and was disgusted to find a punnet of mouldy raspberries and partially used tube of anti-biotic cream also found what looked like a ginger pubic hair in bed! Reported this to night team who were very apologetic, they removed the offending items and after I requested it gave me another room change. By the time we had packed up, moved rooms and had another shower (we felt very uncomfortable and unclean as we had been in the room previously through day) we got to bed after midnight. At checkout staff were still apologetic and removed cost of evening meal. Wrote to hotel who replied after a week offering apologies and discount on next stay. Sorry to say that I can’t see myself using this chain (or again as am still angry that my sons special day was ruined. However, positively, the hotel staff I encountered were all helpful, pleasant & apologetic.

Pleasant stay
Overall a pleasant stay. Stayed once befor Service: Faultless, all staff were superb, so attentive and friendly. Hotel: Clean, modern, welcoming, comfortable, luxurious in parts. Offered a glass of prosecco on arrival. Parking : £18 valet parking for 24hrs. Room: We booked the lovely deluxe river view room. It had floor to ceiling windows in the spacious bedroom and bathroom, so we had a nice view of the water. We asked to check out an hour later than the usual time and that was allowed for free. Area: Useful free shuttle to Canary Wharf. Caught a river boat to central London from Canary Wharf cost £6.50 each, which was lovely and scenic on a nice sunny day. Got an uber back from around Tower of London for under £10, around 20mins in Saturday late afternoon traffic. Decent italian restaurant within a few mins walk, large portions. Nothing to see or do in the immediate area. A little depressing, not somewhere where you’d want to walk around. Hotel restaurant: Very little vegan (or even vegetarian) choices for dinner and breakfast. The options did not contain protein. The hot food was just warm and went cold quickly. Great views of the river, particularly in the morning feels like you’re abroad. Spa: Bring your swimsuit. On arrival, staff mentioned that as a guest you get free use of the spa - I’m a little annoyed this was not communicated to me during the booking process (through hotels dot com) as I would have bought my swimwear along

Good hotel, a bit of a distance from London dwntwn
I am a U.S. citizen who stayed in London for a few days on a trip back from Paris. London is definitely not Paris (more like NYC), but this hotel made it worthwhile to escape downtown for a while. Hotel is very clean, with a pleasing smell. It is located in a complex of buildings with luxury condos and a guarded entrance with live guard, so that made me feel safe. Breakfast is amazing and buffet style; very healthy and high quality food like coconut yogurt, coconut juice, fruit platter, cheeses and breads, eggs, beans, potatoes, and bacon etc. Pleasant to eat breakfast while watching the river scenery right next to hotel. The front desk staff are pretty knowledgeable though I feel some of them didn't know London area very well. However, concierge was helpful in making sure we make best of our 2 days there. It is near Blackwall DLR line, which doesn't take too long to connect to the Tower or Bank stations, which can then connect to the underground tube system to get you into downtown or to Heathrow. However, this does take about 30 minutes each way. It's about 1 hr 15 min to heathrow. Nevertheless, it is cheap to travel on the public transport compared to a Taxi. Make sure you get an Oyster card at the Underground to help save substantial costs and make it easy to ride public transport including buses.

Modern, great location. Potential to be better.
A beautiful, modern hotel in a perfect location. However it appears standards have slipped since my last stay in 2016. Staff ill informed us of the hotels shuttle bus, after inquiring if it took us to the O2 all staff said yes. However we got dropped off at Canary Wharf and were expected to get the tube (not far, but an inconvenience to us). Staff did offer to pay for taxi back from O2. Breakfast was cold, even when fresh appeared to be put out. Coffee which was brought over was also cold. The room was nice and modern, however did not think much to the upgrade which only included a coffee machine and one robe. The room was also very hot with air con by the door. I think this hotel could offer so much more luxury/service wise, if the staff looked at finer details to go above and beyond for customers.
