While this is certainly no luxury hotel the staff were extremely friendly and helpful (even allowed us an early check in after a long flight) and the hotel’s proximity to Paddington station made it an ideal base for exploring the city. The rooms are small but we really only needed somewhere to sleep between adventures so this hotel filled that need perfectly!

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of our trip - both times the rooms were very clean - the bed in 101 probably needs replacing - the mattress was very hard and felt like it had some “dips” in it! Quiet - easy location to find - within a few blocks of Paddington Station which was great as it is a central station for both the tube and the Great Western train!! Staff were friendly - lots of restaurants and shops right around the corner….

Hotel provided all the basics you need in a fantastic location. At this price point, you can either have location or size, not both. The room was small but provided everything necessary. This would be a perfectly serviceable budget hotel if it was at a budget price. Rooms are small and the lobby is microscopic, but everything except the hallway carpets is new and freshly painted. Shower is powerful and hot. Very few other room amenities. Desk clerk failed to warn me that Hop-on/Hop-off tour buses are a huge waste of money. No air conditioning and can be hot in hot weather, but otherwise room was comfortable. Located a couple of streets over from Paddington Station, on a quiet street of identical-looking hotels. GPS reception in the entire area seems to be bad, causing me lots of navigation problems.

We stayed one night and it was fine, the stairs down to the basement are a bit tricky, other than that, the room and bathroom were a decent size and with no window we had aircon which was amazing on the hot day we were there.
