I cannot say I would stay at Kensington Apartments again. The apartment itself was clean, running water, good pressure, provided a fridge with freezer, and a smart TV. No air conditioning, however, and we were hot as hell. We had to keep the windows open at night, only one of which actually opened properly.
We booked for 5 people, and while there were 2 queen beds and a pull-out couch, the couch had no sheets or covers available. It was also kind of gross.
The apartment was divided in two units, both of which are accessible through a code. Despite that, I did not really feel safe there. The doors were wonky, and the main door downstairs (also accessible through a code) was broken and always unlocked.
There is free parking, but I have no idea how it works, and people were double parked in front of one another. I had purchased a street permit from the city and was very glad I had.
What else? Staff is helpful, but there was no one on site. Everything is done via WhatsApp or phone. The cleaning staff I ran into once was really sweet and gave us extra sheets.
Also, there’s a safety deposit required, not done via Expedia. Which I think isn’t supposed to be a thing?
All in all, it wasn’t terrible. But it wasn’t great either.
