    Fabulous and quirky

A fabulous little find. Hundreds of years old historic and quirky hotel and bar. Great service, good food and brilliant room, if a little sloped.

    What a nice weekend

A lovely old building, I believe 900 years old. No lift and ancient staircase. This did not detract as it is a place with a lot of character. Staff are friendly and helpful. My breakfasts were what I might have at home and nicely made. The hotel is excellently placed. I have already recommended the Pied Bull to others.

Four and a half stars out of five

The walls were a little thin so we could clearly hear the couple in the next room talking. However it was 11.30 and I suspect they had consumed alcohol and were talking louder than normal. But if they had put the TV on it could have been a problem. The staff were brilliant, the breakfast good, real ale with own brewery as well. Location and atmosphere brilliant for the historic city centre. I would stay again.

    Great location

This location is perfect as it is very central to the City. The building is very old but the room was modern and hac a lovely bathroom. Parking was close by and was only £11 for 24 hours. Good value hotel.

    Good city centre inn/hotel

The hotel location is excellent, right in the city centre, and is close by to an off site car park. The hotel was good, as expected. However, as a gold member we were due late check out and a free upgrade. The hotel were not informed of either of these things so we were not offered them which was disappointing.
