We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Old Post House. Exceptional accommodation, a beautiful large room with comfy beds, tea, coffee, biscuits and water provided. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and very friendly hosts. The property is in a lovely village spot on the outskirts of Cardiff and we would have liked to stay longer to explore more. Would definitely stay here again when in the area!!

Welcome to Cardiff
This is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit the Cardiff area. It is a short drive to many of the CADW historic sites. The hosts are very welcoming and the stay was terrific. There is a small pub next door that has food and is good for kids. Highly recommend.

Business Trip
Great establishment in a lovely area. Pub next door serves fab food. Room large and comfy bed. Bathroom clean and roomy. Breakfast excellent. Couple of niggles poor lighting on dressing table for applying make up and not enough plug sockets. Overall would recommend and I would stay again if in the area.

Great stay
Comfortable and spacious room. All staff very friendly and helpful with good local knowledge. Great breakfasts cooked to order. Plymouth Arms next door good for evening meals. Very close to St Fagans open air museum, very interesting and a must to visit. Also recommend the Hop On Hop Off bus tour of Cardiff.

Lovely hotel in villlage setting
We stayed for one night. The room (The Pembroke) was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast - we had the cooked vegetarian - was freshly cooked and delicious. Although the hotel doesn't serve evening meals, we ate at the Plymouth Arms pub next door - there's a wide choice there, including a vegan menu. Anyone visiting Cardiff for a few days and looking for an unusual place to stay could consider the Old Post House. It's right across the street from the pedestrian entrance to St Fagans museum and its wonderful grounds, there's a good pub next door for meals and there's a regular daytime bus service into the city.
