Beachfront dining ranges from high-end hotel restaurants to local warungs serving fresh seafood and nasi goreng. Discovery Shopping Mall anchors the retail scene with international brands and local crafts. Most visitors stay in the 4-5 star beachfront resorts with stunning pools, though getting around is easy with abundant taxis and a highly walkable beachfront strip.

Raya Kuta
Kuta's lively main strip buzzes with endless entertainment options. Neon-lit bars and thumping nightclubs light up after dark, while daytime brings bargain hunters to bustling souvenir markets and craft stalls. Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel
"I had a wonderful stay at Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel. It’s a beautiful resort with a great location and very reasonable prices. Being right next to Discovery Mall is incredibly convenient, and there are plenty of local shops, restaurants, and other conveniences within walking distance. The hospitality was excellent as well. A special thank you to Septhi, who was incredibly kind and welcoming during check-in. We are very grateful that she generously upgraded us to a Family Suite, which made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable. Her warm hospitality and thoughtfulness really made a difference. The one area I think could use an upgrade is the shower and bathroom area inside the rooms. Since the hotel was originally built in 1990, some parts of the bathroom are understandably starting to show their age. A renovation or modernization of the bathrooms would make an already great resort even better. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back. Great resort, excellent location, wonderful hospitality, and a very good value for the price. Thank you again to Septhi and the entire team for making our stay special!"
The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Kuta
- Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Kuta is during February, March, and November, when hotel rates are generally lower. For those on a budget, a stay of at least 4 to 5 days is recommended to fully appreciate the area's significant landmarks, rich history, and vibrant culture. During your visit, you can explore stunning beaches, indulge in surfing, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, and experience the local shopping scene. Furthermore, Kuta boasts beautiful temples, relaxing spas, delightful dining options, and lively dance performances, making it a great value for money destination. Keep in mind that prices may drop during these months, making it an even more budget-friendly choice for your getaway.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Kuta, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. Additionally, enabling email alerts or push notifications can keep you informed about flash sales and special promotions, increasing your chances of saving. The Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you make informed choices. If rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to see these updates, making it easier to book your last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate depending on various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, having some flexibility with your travel dates could potentially help you find a better deal on your stay in a Kuta hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and occasionally offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we can suggest alternative dates that may offer a more budget-friendly option.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be pricier; however, with Kuta's superb public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel further afield that remains well-connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
