nice place, no one on site monday or tuesday
stayed for business, a bit further out of the center of Gloucester than it looked, £7-£8 in a taxi each way. Bar/Restaurant/Staff closed/not onsite Monday/Tuesday which is one of the days I stayed, was disappointed with this as it would have been easier to get a taxi in and out, plus have a drink in the bar before and after going out for a meal or even stayed in for a meal

Welcoming Dog Friendly Stay
We had a lovely stay with our Sproodle. Danielle and the team were very welcoming. The room was very clean and a good size with Kingsize bed, 2 seater sofa, desk and wardrobe. The En-suite also had a bath with power shower. The on-site restaurant the lock keepers was fantastic, great food and service. Would definitely stay again.

6/10 Good

The hotel is conveniently placed for the City Centre, a nice country walk. However, it was let down by an inability to fully cater for its guests. I was forced to eat elsewhere on Sat evening after being told there was no tables available. I returned to the hotel at approx 7:45 and there appeared to be a few empty tables. Nonetheless, the hotel was well kept and the staff were nice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very spacious and clean, with added bonus of mini fridge with complimentary bottles of water and fresh milk. Food in the bistro was excellent and at a good price. Location is nice and quiet but short distance to city centre.

Disappointed
Great quality hotel unfortunately the room was specifically booked because it had a jacuzzi bath which didn’t work. As we only had a 1 night stay no chance to correct the problem and reported it as we checked out. No offer to make amends eg. Free coffee, breakfast or partial refund. Disappointed

Very nice place to stay
Excellent location and lovely accommodation but the room was a little too warm even with window open and no way to adjust heating. Food ok depending on order, my wife’s was nice, mine not so much. Dog friendly and lovely walks on doorstep as well as excellent public transport links a couple of minutes walk away. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
