The Slate
"Another great stay at The Slate - from friendly check-in and information, to a beautifully made up and comfortable room, I couldn’t fault it. Will be back again next month for one more trip this year!"
Trearddur Bay Hotel
"Hotel needs a refurbishment, staff and views amazing"
The Anglesey Arms
"Excellent all round. Fabulous staff."
Ty Glyndwr Hotel Bangor
"Well first of all the staff was pleasant, helpful and professional. For me the location was excellent with plenty of places to walk, multiple supermarkets within easy walking distance and several place to order good food. Speaking of food, the Beef and Guinness pie served here was excellent. One thing, the car navigation system in the car I leased (a VW Golf Hybrid 8 SE from Europcar) not only couldn't locate the place, in fact it couldn't find Station street in Bangor at all (this has happened several times) so use Google maps for the last 5 miles of your trip as it knows exactly where this Pub is. I'd stay there again."
The Anchorage Hotel
"Second visit in 4 days. Very pleasant stay the room was spacious and clean. WiFi didn’t cover to the room we were in but didn’t affect us. Plumbing a bit noisy and could do with an overhaul. Breakfast was fine but choices a little limited. Staff all very helpful."
The Management Centre
"Excellent breakfast, the building is kind of old, but it was clean. The room on the too small side but ok. Bathroom was very small…"
The Menai Hotel and Bar
"Perfect location for university Lovely staff .. value for money , Every thing you needed was in the room ."
Dinorben Arms Hotel
"We stayed here recently for 4 nights. The whole area of Amlwch is slightly run down (like many places nowadays) but the Dinorben arms is the beating heart of the community- supported by locals for food/drinks. The breakfasts and the evening meals are freshly cooked always hot & the food is simply superb. You will not find a breakfast or any food better for the price anywhere- the drinks were excellent & reasonably priced too. It's a proper old fashioned pub/hotel run by a family including 3 generations and i hope the place is open for many years to come. Do not hesitate to either stay here or visit just for food - fantastic."
Château Rhianfa
"The building is older but they keep it so clean and comfortable. The views are amazing, the bed was comfortable & the room was spacious."

Consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, ensuring you’re informed about opportunities to save. Furthermore, the Smart ShoppingOpens in a new window feature in the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so you're more likely to see the best options available. This way, you'll be among the first to know if prices drop or rooms become available for your spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in an Amlwch hotel. For those seeking something a bit different, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could be more economical, helping you to potentially find a more attractive option.
- Consider your location: Staying nearer to key attractions or city centres can offer convenience but often tends to come with higher costs. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you wish to visit. You might also explore independent hotels located further out, which can provide a more authentic and usually more affordable experience.
