The property is really beautiful but the services and owner were ridiculous.
We booked the deluxe suite (with a sauna, bathtub, amazing Mountain View) but were not given our booked rooms due to double booking by the hotel which was unprofessional and greedy. In compensation we were first offered a junior suite which was a downgrade compared to our original booking as it only had the extra living space but no sauna, no bathtub and a very poor view from the bedroom. We then decided to go for a classic double room instead because of the better view.
As there was no possibility of refund, we were offered compensation at dinner. Based on the massive downgrade and suffering on our part, we were only offered a €12 discount at dinner which was vastly lower than the difference in the prices for the two rooms. We had to make a great effort to explain that it was unfair and we deserved better service. Even after this, we were only discounted €26 which was still less than the difference between the prices of the two rooms.
In any other hotels or restaurants in case of such a big blunder one would rightfully expect better compensation and humility from the owner accepting their fault and being apologetic about it.
When in a different country, we felt that the owner took advantage of our helplessness and was absolutely shameless about the situation.
I would recommend avoiding this unprofessional establishment where the owner behaved like such a cheapskate while speaking to us.
