Irton Hall is so beautiful and the cottage we stayed in was perfect. We had the best afternoon tea that any of us had ever tasted!

Stunning views
Beautiful hotel and grounds, amazingly clean but there was an unpleasant lingering smell not too dissimilar to that of a care home! This is not to slight the guests, it omitted from the bathrooms located in the reception area! Food was reasonably priced and there was plenty of it for the cost. Staff lovely and helpful. I would definitely stay again if only to see those stunning views!

Beautiful historic hall in the countryside.
We loved the historic Irton Hall. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the food very good. The area is very pretty. The interior iof Irton Hall is fairly modern, so it doesn't have the historic atmosphere inside, but we thoroughly enjoyed it anyway. Very nice staff.

Great food at this hidden gem
Great food. Cheerful helpful staff. Dog friendly. Superb well kept grounds. Fluffy towels, comfortable bed/pillows. Peacock/pea hens and geese wander freely. Complimentary biscuits with the tea/coffee in the room.

Excellent choice for a break in the Western Lakes
We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Irton Hall, comfortable room and bed, friendly service and very tasty, good quality breakfast. It is in a beautiful position and great location for our trips to Muncaster, Ravenglass etc..

Really comfortable rooms in a stunning location
Irton Hall was fantastic. We were upgraded on arrival and the room was massive. Bed was really comfortable and slept like a log. The grounds were stunning as well, perfect for walking a 5 month old puppy around. The full English breakfast was really nice and served super quick to order. The decor in the rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade and the TVs could be a bit bigger, but all in all, fantastic. Would definitely stay here again.

A gem within Cumbria
When I booked thru hotel.com I wasn’t exactly sure if that’s what I was looking for. However my kids, parents all loved it. I wanted to stay longer however that was not possible as they were fully booked. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back
