This hotel is in a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. My lower rating is due to mold in the bathroom and water running down the wall when using the air conditioning. My recommendation is make sure you don’t have the basement room.

Woefully bad downstairs bedroom. Dirty headboard. No shampoo. No tea bags or milk. Mould in the fridge. Patio full of cigarette ends. Curtains falling off the rails. Bathroom pod that floods and the smell of damp throughout. This was clearly a lovely place once and the location is brilliant. It’s just footsteps from Kings Cross. The staff are wonderful. They are so helpful and full of smiles. The owner has clearly just left it to rot rather than keep on top of refurbishments. He’s apparently doing it up, so prepare for a price hike. Personally I think it should’ve been a lot cheaper or not even rented out in that condition.

There are some very good things about this hotel. It is very well located in London, it is clean, and the staff are helpful; my room could have accommodated 5 people (though I was by myself) and there was a fully equipped kitchen area. Other than that... how to put it? It was a large room in a temporary-looking 1-floor structure in the middle of a courtyard outside the main hotel building, and inside it looked like a space a bunch of college students or a family would fill with a random collection of old furniture and utensils donated by relatives. The bathroom was tiny, the sink in it even tinier, the floor platform of the shower stall broken and somehow temporarily put back together. Nothing actually bad if you are used to super casual accommodations, but not what I expected to get for ￡233. Oh, and the name "The Melville Hotel by Rokxy" nowhere to be seen in the front of the building. I had to ask someone at another hotel nearby which door was this hotel.

The place was horrible. The doors didn't even close and the rooms smelled like sewage. Aside from being a walkable distance from Kings Cross, would avoid it if possible. Our clothes smelled of sewage after we left. The staff is very kind especially the gentleman from Brazil. He was super helpful and kind. We can tell they are doing the best they can, but the place needs a lot of work!

It was really really really hot, there weren’t any staff around to help us other than some guy sat at a desk 24 hours doing his own stuff, the bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied and the tap in the sink in room 41 was literally coming off of the sink. It’s a good place to stay if you’re coming in and out and really really convenient (2 minutes from Kings Cross station). Not a lot of room, could barely fit two people in the room but it had a tea set, body wash, towels, a hair dryer and a TV provided.

Lots of ants in the room. Bed’s horrendously uncomfortable. Shower was that bad I’d rather not get in it. The tray was split in 2 with a very poor silicone repair holding it together. There’s a coffee machine with no water tank. The staff are great and, Pedro was fantastic when checking us in but, the rooms need a serious overhaul.

The accommodation was in the perfect location for kings cross. A couple minutes from the station. There was a delay with checking in but these things happen. The staff were lovely and kept our bags for us while we went to explore whole waiting to check in. The room was nice, it had a double bed, a sofa bed and a single, on suite and small kitchen area. It was great for overnight but If staying for longer the lack of an area to hang out would become an issue and the sofa bed was a little hard. Decorating was nice but marks on the wall could do with a touch up with some paint in areas again nothing dramatic. Id stay again for the price. It was a warm and comfortable overnight stay in a great location.
