Not a good nights sleep
Disappointed stay as the first room we were put in was too cold and after a shower the carpet in the bedroom was wet. The second room felt more pleasant at first but unfortunately that was too hot even after turning the heating off and I suspect due to the height the windows weren’t able to be opened. neither of us slept well at all. Uncomfortable stay

Avoid tis place.
Booked this room for my 72 year old mother who never goes away so this was her first hotel stay in a few years. The room (258) she was allocated was very cold and the heating system in her room didn't work. I had to go on her behalf down to reception to complain 3 times after being given various excuses by the guy on desk. His only solution was to give a hear for the room which I thought was unacceptable. The girl that bought the heater to the room even said how cold the room was. There was also another couple at reception complaining how cold it was. The excuse given by the guy on reception was that the hotel was closing on Monday 19th for refurbishment work and that not all rooms were up to standard and some had heating issues. I told him that we're expected to pay in full for a room that has no heating when it's below freezing outside. He offered a refund but as we'd booked via Hotels.com he couldn't issue it. My 72 year old mother spent the night sat in her coat in her freezing room. As for the rest of the room the carpets were filthy, marks on walls, bathroom looked tired as did the rest of the room. Will definitely not recommend this place and never return. Disgusting how they treat paying guests.

Unfortunate Choice
Loud band 5ft from our room until after midnight. A river of people walking to and from the toilet past our room singing and yelling. I tried calling reception twice but no answer. I had to get dressed and go down. Manager offered to move us but we were down for the night and didn't want to pack. This room shouldn't have been available. The hotel refused to compensate us for this huge miss becuase we booked through Hotels.com.
Room right next to loud party until after midnight.

Nice but could be a lot better
We recently stayed for a 2 night trip it is our second visit to this hotel and we thought standards had dropped. The overall decor of the hotel was a bit untidy pictures/posters had been removed from walls and a lot of areas required a re-paint. On arrival the room was quiet pleasant but cold as aircom was playing up, on the 2nd day the room was not cleaned or re-stocked although the bed was made. Breakfast was very nice and the staff in both the Reception and Breakfast were very good.
