A few things upset me with this "resort." The first being the greeting/welcoming. We approached the gate and were hammered with questions immediately by the guard. "Do you have a reservation? How many people with you?" And the manner in which he asked, just didn't suit me. Next, we walked into the reception office for an onslaught of nonsense. Did I hear, "Hello! Welcome to Mendihuaca! So glad to have you."? NOPE! Instead, I was questioned about the amount of guests that were on the reservation. Apparently, it was a huge issue that there were a total of 3 guests, but the reservation said only 2. You would have thought I had a bomb in my bag the way they were acting. Funny though, since the room I booked specifically had three beds. So sorry that the reservation didn't note 3 people.
Next, I will say the resort is pretty dated. Showers are cold. Don't expect towel service at the pool. Don't think about using the beach. The waves are always much too violent there. Food was decent, but took awhile. Service needed some work. Really it all came down to management. You could tell there was no backbone. So the place lacked structure. The place was cheap, so if you are on a budget go for it. I was hoping for a little more though.
